12/2/2009 09:21 | I think you are spot on. | fairdeal2008
12/2/2009 09:18 | Put the exploration on hold and instead buy and just sit on Avebury. | monis
12/2/2009 09:14 | They must have considered it these past few months... oz minerals has a Feb 27 deadline to meet (asset firesale) Avebury Mine (not far from Zeehan) currently mothballed Creat have tried their hand in the past at hostile takeovers (eg June 2008 on the tsx), which didn't go through. Much depends on their financial clout, and whether they want Avebury or not. Considering the search (and hope of finding) new Ni deposits on Zeehan's unexplored tenements, the addition of adjacent Avebury would make a good 'nickel' fit IMO, long term nia dyor | andrbea
12/2/2009 09:09 | Is it possible that our new majority owners could buy up the Nickel mine next door? | monis
12/2/2009 09:00 | Not surprised to see the mm's cut and run, they've been playing games for a week when extremely short of stock, dont forget the 5 mil+ volume day this week so there has been a lot of stock changing hands. If only they would have gave me a quote at 0.9p, be sitting pretty now. | 8trader
12/2/2009 08:45 | on the same theme (China & Aussie commodities) Chinese enterprises are also understood to have sought approval from FIRB for an interest in some of the assets being offered up by OZ Minerals. It is expected the diversified miner's list of asset sales could set the agenda for Chinese interest, with its February 27 refinance deadline looming. "It will be interesting to see what happens with the OZ assets and what the Chinese do. This will be a test, given the number of assets for sale," one analyst said. Gindalbie Metals was given the green light last week to accept a $162.1 million boost from AnSteel, China's second-largest steelmaker. The move increased AnSteel's stake in the company from 12.6 per cent to 36.28 per cent. Mr McCubbin said major Chinese players were looking at significant Australian resource assets. "It is not a case of coming in and looking at distressed assets," he said. "It is being driven by quality assets and, in some cases, it will be a share placement where a pre-existing relationship already exists." Feb 9 2009 | andrbea
12/2/2009 08:42 | All depends on what we think our chinese friends are up to. | monis
12/2/2009 08:34 | always moves fast on low volume illiquid indeed now 14% on the back of 105k | andrbea
11/2/2009 14:47 | another small cap miner in Tasmania (dated today) Bass Metals, which mines lead-zinc-copper-sil Bass Metals share price closed today at A10.5 cents - a price range it has been caught in for the past three months after beginning a slide from about A22c along with base metal prices since July last year. Rosenstreich has detailed some positive statistics related to the company's upgrade on its ore reserves at the Que River mine. There has been a 65% increase in ore reserves, there was 81% more ore produced and sold to end-December than predicted, and a new exploration target with hope for up to 60,000t of high grade ore has been found near the operation's PQ pit. "These may not be huge tonnes but we started with a reserve of 115,000t, mined and sold 81,000t and now have a new reserve of 129,000t," Rosenstreich said. "Translating this into the universal language 'money speak' the 38,000t we mined to the end of June 2008 underpinned a maiden (2007/08 after tax) profit of $A1.8 million ($1.17 M)." | andrbea
11/2/2009 13:34 | They already have funds for exploration drilling. | monis
11/2/2009 13:30 | Sorry meant to end with a question mark ? :-)) | 8trader

10/2/2009 18:00 | Thank you, big trades though I wonder who is accumulating? | monis
10/2/2009 17:52 | L2 closed 1 v 3, the next bid was i think 0.9p or 0.95p ! But dont get me wrong, like many others in the sector there is a big squeeze here, they are extremely short of stock and have been paying over the mid price to get some back recently. It's just another battle against the mm's, the price should be rising but how much will they try to keep the price down like they have done in Agu the last few days ? Great if your already holding as you are sitting pretty, bit of a dilemma if you want to trade it, will it rise enough to make a profit ? | 8trader
10/2/2009 17:31 | 8 trader- What do you mean L2 is poor? Not an accurate reflection or due a dip? | monis
10/2/2009 16:27 | What's going to happen here tommorrow? | monis
10/2/2009 16:25 | Chunky trades changing hands i see today. Very short of stock so L2 is poor as you'd expect with the wide spread to do as much as possible to put you off buying ! | 8trader
10/2/2009 12:48 | Anyone interested take a look at RMM. Great results imo. Presently 9.5p last placing at 60p imo dyor. | monis
10/2/2009 12:40 | By the way.. Creat Group also tried to buy a company on tsx (June 2008) | andrbea
10/2/2009 12:33 | looks like a shake. | monis
10/2/2009 12:30 | Looks like the 1 million may have been a buy then . | linslader
10/2/2009 11:13 | interesting 1.2mln trade at 1.2p.... if it is a sell then we have a big buyer gathering stock as the price has risen recently...or could it be part of the sell put through on FRiday causing the drop, with the stock now having been sold on? ...in which case, further buying could cause a decent sized move up. | sportbilly1976 |
