Posted at 26/8/2011 17:28 by smegly Is there any chance WLW returning to the market? |
Posted at 23/1/2011 21:28 by red nutter WLW is on neglible value list on HMRC site saying dissolved on 26/2/09 why does it still show on my barclays account? Can I claim as a loss now? Thanks |
Posted at 26/6/2010 12:14 by loganair And just look at 2Entertain - Woolies 40% valued at over £100m, sold back to the BBC for £17m or about the amount of dividend the 2Entertain were due to pay Woolies. And also Bertram/The - Valued at between £30m and £40m sold to Bertram management for just £5m. And also because of the bankers and Woolies going down also brought down Zavvi which owed Woolies over £70m but paid only £40m of that debt. As I mentioned so many times Woolies was brought down because their bankers Bank of Ireland and GMAC were in desperate trouble themselves and were willing to doing anything to get their money back, even if that meant destroying the companies they loaned too even though Woolies was still making a profit all be it only a small one. In my mind BOI amd GMAC are no better than theives as by their actions they stole the shareholders money. |

Posted at 18/12/2009 17:01 by porketh What is number 2?I totally agree with you - it does need regulating. They advised WLW to liquidatem then got the role of liquidators answering to no one! How can that not be illegal somehow? |
Posted at 15/11/2009 17:07 by fazersix Davy, ive always posted blaming the government for not backing wlw credit insurance, the loss to the tax payer must be fanominal as so many businesses where linked or indirectly linked to woolies, right down to the window cleaners, local shop, petrol stations and too many more to list. Then we have dole, housing benefit claims and the knock on effects across the board. WOW !GL f6 |

Posted at 19/8/2009 11:34 by porketh Nice. "Stevo, Get us a deal at WLW and we'll sort you out afterwards,....lets screw the shareholders" |
Posted at 11/8/2009 20:42 by davy99 Tony,I really don't see shareholders getting anything. Even the administrators aren't doing well trying to sell what were at one time WLW lucrative assets. Today: |
