Just grateful to get it so cheaply. I hired a van for £45 and put in £60 of diesel. The two greenhouses cost £40 so in all it came to £145 so, as far as I am concerned, a great deal.

I also bought paraffin heaters so that when Mrs L kicks me out when I tell her how much we have lost on WBN I will have somewhere comfortable to live.

Welcome to the group Oilretire. Now added to the email list.

I reckon because it was the Ebay sellers fault I reckon you should make him pay for the extra cement/pre-mix and labour got to be worth £50 quid.

I wish - just dug out another 10 inches and busy cementing it now. Blasted nuisance.

Morning H, dry & bright here.

What's the email for your action group? I don't have many shares, but I guess every little helps?

Cheers

Morning all, raining heavily here.

I was on the road yesterday collecting the 2 greenhouses that I bought on EBay. Got back last night and checked out the one that I am going to erect on the foundations that we laid over the weekend and was devastated to find that the damn thing was 10 inches longer than the foundations and on measuring again I found that the person who sold it had converted inches to centimetres incorrectly so I now have to do some more concreting. I was SO happy.

FUT, I've got into gardening this year for the first time and we have had some wonderful veggies this year. My pea risotto was superb; we have just finished off the courgettes (thankfully); still cropping runner beans and beetroot etc and the kale and leeks are looking good. I will grow tons of tomatoes next year in the greenhouses.

Yes, there is an ominous silence from Numpty Central.

Fut - enjoying myself? I'm almost killing myself. A 62 year old man shouldn't be subjecting himself to such physical work. I blame the wife - she must have taken out an insurance policy without me knowing about it. I wonder how much I am worth?

Fut, glorious here and have worked up a lather having shifted 20 wheel barrow loafs of soil up the hill. Another 5 to go then its about 15 loads of stones down the hill for the hardcore base. Then the hard work begins again as I will have to carry up the cement and sand. The height being that of two houses.

If the Numpties had of got their fingers out and done a deal then I could have employed a builder to do the work. Still, its keeping me fit I suppose.

An early start in the garden this morning as I have 3 tons of soil to shift - thank goodness for the wheelbarrow. Slightly overcast with a definite touch of Autumn in the air.

Thank goodness the Scots referendum is now over as I am totally fed up with listening to it all.
