Took an initial punt of £4000 here. Some good signs but like many say they are only first initial signs. Good rock samples aren't a bad thing. A lot more research over the next few days.

That's a good thing isn't it telbap. It suggests the sustained rise is due to longer term holders. Slide another whisky down the bar and keep one eye on the double doors...

apfindley,
If your comment is directed at me it's completely wide of the mark. I have no idea who afzal is and have no affiliation whatsoever to Lenigas. However if you think that a logical conclusion of my posts indicates that I have it demonstrates a complete failure to think rationally and that you are not of sound mind. Perhaps you should consider this when extrapolating the conclusions you draw from announcements and posting them.

cbeadle Yes you can't wait for junior explorers to be de-risked if you want big gains.

GGP have done really well, but I think they’re fully valued WSBN still represent the ground floor opportunity

Yes it's speculative. The MC isn't based on these samples it's based on a combination of factors and risk profile. I remember almost exactly the same argument being levelled against GGP when they publicised rock chip findings. Glad I didn't listen to the negative posters then! Each to their own.

So you are not denying that a placing is coming.Thank you for confirming that youre linked to afzal and leni.

The best one is the stream sediment result. How can you really try to portray the accumulation of gold in a rock pocket of a stream as a "result". And by it's very nature, you don't know where that sediment originated from.

These "results" are a collection of rock chips and samples taken on a Boy Scout camping trip. There's no doubt that there's some metal there somewhere, but it doesn't make this company worth £12m.

apfindley,
The purpose of having a listing is to raise money, ie issue shares. Why is it people are always surprised when companies do it and why are they surprised when it's done at a discount to the market. That's generally how the capital markets work. What matters isn't the issuing of shares it's the direction of travel.
No they won't report samples that aren't of interest, why would they? These are initial findings and clearly this is a watch this space announcement.

No. They call them excellent initial results. However they are NOT results. If you have 1000 brown marbles and 10 yellow marbles and scatter them on the floor. You cant pick out 10 marbles at random and expect to end up picking the yellow ones....would you visually pick out 10 and they all happen to be yellow, so you can infer that you've made an excellent discovery of potentially 1010 yellow marbles. The same here....the rock samples are all destined to be excellent because they would only take back samples which visibly contained gold, hence the grades. ...they're not going to take a bucket of surface soil back for testing in the remote hope it contains gold.

apfindley, I can't understand what you're talking about. They've said very clearly they are initial findings. They haven't claimed anything else. If the scope of your investment decisions is based on not reading the announcement then you're the one being reckless.

The point is....Being rock samples only, the word excellent is wrecklessly misplaced in the title of an rns. Its not drill results. It is there as a headline to help boost the price to offload not-yet-existing shares from a future placing. There is a trail of this exact same activity littered across the markets in recent months, and often it stems from a certain crew of twitter pumpers who take part in placings.

Can't see why some people are getting in a twist over the use of the word 'excellent'. They've clearly stated they are initial results and they are pretty damn good initial findings. As far as I can see they are duty bound to announce. The MC could be twice this and still not look out of place in the junior explorers.

It's the way all exploration companies report findings when they first search a given area. You know this, so your entire comment is BS with a counter narrative.

Are you suggesting that lenigas is a seasoned share issuer and placing participant? And I hope you're not suggesting that the presence of afzal means a placing is coming and that those taking part could even be forward selling placing shares to help create a false rise on the news...only for it to fall back to the discounted price later. As if. Haha.
