I feel uncomfortable here just now - too long at this level
we are struggling just now for a lift off the bottom
There are too many risks at this stage of the game
a move from talking to doing - cash needed in between

Just wondered if any long-term holders on here can tell me what's changed since January when David Stevenson in the FT wrote the following article on WHE?

If I recall, the price then was circa 6p and has fallen relentlessly since then. David has an uncanny knack of picking the right sectors at the wrong time, usually too early and now could be a good time to jump in here.

Thursday, 24 October 2013With big announcements in the pipeline, Linc Energy CEO Peter Bond explains the switch to a Singapore listing, while discussing UCG deals,......................Underground Coal GasificationWith Linc's UCG technology established and with majority ownership of the Yerostigaz plant in Uzbekistan, Bond said this business was moving towards commercial outcomes. He expects key announcements to be made this year as talks continue with many different parties. "We have about 30 odd opportunities on the board that are either MOUs or just at the negotiating stage," Bond said. "Out of that 30-odd opportunities, I expect a number of them to transfer through to strong contracts."Worth speculating here imo, I think that Linc Energy could replace E.ON with a "strong contract" to advance the UCG projects in Hungary and Poland. More news soon.GLA

Hungary Mulls Raising Nuclear Capacity, PM Says - WSJHungary aims to raise the proportion its electricity generated by nuclear power to 60%-70% over the next decade from its current 40%, state news agency MTI quoted Prime Minister Viktor Orban as saying at a business forum in India's Mumbai Friday. The government is close to reaching an agreement on expanding the country's sole nuclear power plant, Mr. Orban said. Hungary could have the lowest electricity prices in the European Union within four to five years, he said.A tender to expand the Paks nuclear power plant is expected to be called before the end of this year, Mr. Orban's development minister Zsuzsa Nemeth said on the sidelines of an event earlier this week, after the tender announcement had been delayed by more than two years.Hungary's state-owned Paksi Atomeromu Zrt. produces 2,000 megawatts of electricity at its four blocks. The plant, which is Hungary's only nuclear power station, recently had its lifetime extended by 20 years until 2032. Findings from its latest checkup show it could be extended by another 10 years, Ms. Nemeth said.Installing new blocks could cost an estimated 2 trillion-4 trillion forints ($9.3 billion-$18.6 billion) depending on the capacity, according to earlier estimates by Paksi. The Hungarian government, targeting another election win next year, aims to lower energy and utility prices especially for households. It has already cut prices of products including natural gas, district heating and electricity and public services such as chimney sweeping and waste management.Write to the Budapest Bureau at budapest@dowjones.com

check the reference for Wildhorse here,

also if you wade through various energy strategies ( post Fukishima) for Hungary the Govt has been consistent in opting to continue with nuclear.

Edit.. document has recently been updated.. the reference re WHE is probably old so may have been posted before..

Interesting news from Poland, the article below mentions that Linc and Wildhorse Energy are working in the same area!hTTp://biznes.onet.pl/czy-kangury-pofedruja-w-polsce,18567,5585703,news-detalDo kangaroos pofedruja in Poland?October 30, 14:05Australian companies are looking for coal in our country. We don't know yet how serious their intentions are.The fact that Polish coal can be attractive to private companies already know from the moment we have invested in him company in the Czech Republic. Belonging to one of the richest Czechs Zdenek Bakala NWR invested in deposits in Debiensku and holding EPH purchased from Silesia Coal Company mine. And for several months, we have a crop of concessions for prospecting of deposits for companies in the country of kangaroos. Australia is a true giant in the exploitation of coal and other raw materials. Coal is mined by open pit, which makes it much cheaper than ours. This is where the mining industry giants act at which Polish ompanies are hardly small fry - Rio Tinto, GlencoreXstrata, BHP Billiton.............Coal for SierszaAbout the three other Australian companies wanting to mine for coal in Poland, it is difficult to say something. Linc Energy says on its website that focuses on underground coal gasification in Upper Silesia.Wildhorse Energy. Has a concession in La Verna in Upper Silesia. Its advantage, as the company said in the message exchange, is the proximity of power Siersza, though the already very old so Tauron gym can work more than a few years. The more I read about Linc and Wildhorse Energy, the more I'm convinced that Lincis our mysterious third party. Both companies have UCG interests in Upper Silesia Poland and WHE is also looking for a partner in Hungary, so Linc would be the ideal strategic partner imo.GLA

Thanks to euro chess, iiiIt really makes a lot of sense about Linc and I have also been speculating that Linc might do a deal with Wildhorse. The UCG framework is ready in Hungary so what better opportunity to build a JV UCG demo plant. As long as the deal is right for both parties, I can really see something like this happening. The ASX announcemet by WHE on 7th Aug is very telling....."the company has recently entered into a non-binding, indicative term sheet with a third party in respect to the steps to progress, and the broad parameters of, a potential conditianal corporate level transaction..."Note that This is not with E.ON, but with another 3rd party entity. (could it be Linc Energy???)
