13/11/2013 21:00 | I feel uncomfortable here just now - too long at this level we are struggling just now for a lift off the bottom There are too many risks at this stage of the game a move from talking to doing - cash needed in between | jarbie
13/11/2013 11:04 | Just wondered if any long-term holders on here can tell me what's changed since January when David Stevenson in the FT wrote the following article on WHE? If I recall, the price then was circa 6p and has fallen relentlessly since then. David has an uncanny knack of picking the right sectors at the wrong time, usually too early and now could be a good time to jump in here. | lomcovaks

11/11/2013 10:14 | Hungary Mulls Raising Nuclear Capacity, PM Says - WSJHungary aims to raise the proportion its electricity generated by nuclear power to 60%-70% over the next decade from its current 40%, state news agency MTI quoted Prime Minister Viktor Orban as saying at a business forum in India's Mumbai Friday. The government is close to reaching an agreement on expanding the country's sole nuclear power plant, Mr. Orban said. Hungary could have the lowest electricity prices in the European Union within four to five years, he said.A tender to expand the Paks nuclear power plant is expected to be called before the end of this year, Mr. Orban's development minister Zsuzsa Nemeth said on the sidelines of an event earlier this week, after the tender announcement had been delayed by more than two years.Hungary's state-owned Paksi Atomeromu Zrt. produces 2,000 megawatts of electricity at its four blocks. The plant, which is Hungary's only nuclear power station, recently had its lifetime extended by 20 years until 2032. Findings from its latest checkup show it could be extended by another 10 years, Ms. Nemeth said.Installing new blocks could cost an estimated 2 trillion-4 trillion forints ($9.3 billion-$18.6 billion) depending on the capacity, according to earlier estimates by Paksi. The Hungarian government, targeting another election win next year, aims to lower energy and utility prices especially for households. It has already cut prices of products including natural gas, district heating and electricity and public services such as chimney sweeping and waste management.Write to the Budapest Bureau at budapest@dowjones.co | illuminati1

07/11/2013 13:02 | Thanks to euro chess, iiiIt really makes a lot of sense about Linc and I have also been speculating that Linc might do a deal with Wildhorse. The UCG framework is ready in Hungary so what better opportunity to build a JV UCG demo plant. As long as the deal is right for both parties, I can really see something like this happening. The ASX announcemet by WHE on 7th Aug is very telling....."the company has recently entered into a non-binding, indicative term sheet with a third party in respect to the steps to progress, and the broad parameters of, a potential conditianal corporate level transaction..."Note that This is not with E.ON, but with another 3rd party entity. (could it be Linc Energy???) | illuminati1
