24/6/2022 07:16 | Certainly in the value zone for a good quality stock | creditcrunchies
23/6/2022 15:45 | 160 coming again?... | gswredland
20/6/2022 18:14 | Unlike Kingfisher, 7% mentioned (post 146 ) I can see no open disclosed short positions on Wix, since Marble Bar went to 0.45% last year and may have closed out. | elongate
20/6/2022 15:37 | I've averaged down with a few just before the close . 3x 68k trades just printed , trades delayed from earlier. Someone has been unloading all day by the look of it. 1.6 million printed so far, may be a few more to show yet. | philanderer
20/6/2022 15:21 | Hi Phil, tricky is the least of it!. | essentialinvestor
20/6/2022 15:19 | Afternoon EI, tricky markets at the moment. Several more large delayed trades just printed here, 2 x 50k and one at a 155k . | philanderer
20/6/2022 15:14 | Open short positions on Kingfisher are now above 7% and as short tracker does not report positions under 0.5%, that number could be higher. Some may be betting there is a HFD like update and share price reaction on the way for this sector. | essentialinvestor
20/6/2022 15:08 | I don’t think Wix has seen respite from determined sellers for most of the time since it was spun off. I thought we were probably getting to the end of that. I was wrong. It seems possible there may now be increased determination, exacerbating a more general sell off. | elongate
20/6/2022 14:02 | EG, WIX has been running regular adverts on Talksport radio recently. Always impressed by my local store. And I call in regularly. I'd say we have a large seller(s) at the moment. Lots of 10k, 15k, 20k and 25k trades been printed today. | philanderer
20/6/2022 13:17 | Compared to Travis where it came from, it’s doing better on share price over the 12 months. 10% loss in it. But for Wix and others it will be in the update and outlook. Wix runs a cost effective model, well placed competitively speaking in the home improvement market anyway in a downturn. And they’re slowly getting heavier on promotion, and a new sales channel through eBay. | elongate
20/6/2022 12:58 | Any maintenance on the house it's Wickes first before anybody else, if they haven't got it then I check out the others. | creditcrunchies
20/6/2022 12:46 | Wix actually does quite well in recession because it's core DIY goods that peeps have to do. The ones that struggle are the likes of B&Q and Homebase because their range of goods and services are wide, dependent on the housing market so they have to discount heavily on their large stock inventories. | creditcrunchies
20/6/2022 12:42 | pete, I can match that with a SBRY buy @ 255p now 206p :-) My portfolio is -11% for 2022 ! | philanderer
20/6/2022 12:34 | Could have done worse Phil. I recently bought JUP at over 200p and its now down to nearly 150. Another of my stocks which has moved from 'timing the market' to 'time in the market' , to hopefully see a profit! | pete160
20/6/2022 11:25 | Chartwise, it looks as though 160p will have to be tested again. But WTFDIK :-) | philanderer
20/6/2022 09:42 | I bought at a similar time but luckily sold out around 192. Just waiting for a better entry but markets are dire. | spawny100
20/6/2022 09:16 | Terrible timing on my purchase. The dog of my portfolio again this morning. | philanderer
20/6/2022 08:56 | The markets are far from happy. But it seems at least possible that Wix is still being sold down by the Americans mentioned by a commentator as still coming out after separation from Travis ( presumably he got that from somewhere, possibly the company ) Whilst in the meantime, KGF’s few million £s a day buyback is helping them out ( and eps in due course ) | elongate
06/6/2022 14:24 | In at 200.2p. Luck to all. | philanderer
02/6/2022 11:11 | Not sure I want it. Not using this price as a baseline. Travis shareholders entered the market with Wickes shares at about 250p, fair value at the time one would think as seen by Travis on demerger, and the company is making headway since then. If you go for brokers’ views, look them up. All buys. Purely hypothetical and guesswork, but even 250p plus 40% premium might not cut it as a board recommendation. But I’m sure those who don’t want the shares after demerger and said by some to be still selling out would bite their hands off. A small-cap with solid cash generation, dividend paying and looking to fill gaps in coverage. And the CEO is upbeat, management seem dynamic, with more moves to make to enlarge market share. It still has to finalise full separation from Travis, costs there but they are one offs, and realise the benefits, both from increased focus and greater excess cash, to put to growth and for direct distribution to shareholders/buyback Management has paid up to £2.50 for theirs. | elongate
