Quite simple, P. Not dissimilar to yours, but I do consider likely future returns, based on the "portfolio liquidity" indicated in the February IMS. Obviously there is risk in there, but risk/reward attractive to me at the current price.

"Worth modelling NAV/returns"

Very interesting. Do you use a specific calculation, spreadsheet? Black Scholes etc?

I use a spreadsheet to show time to liquidation, not very sophisticatd and only any good for a single liquidation or wind-up situation rather than spaced partial redemtpions.

Praipus,

Re #1765 - no worries there: rest assured that I DMOR & did the math before diving in! I NEVER just rely on others posts, and no one should. V useful to have it flagged up - certainly wasn't on my radar before and your post was nice & timely.

Looks like a nice stream of returns set to come back from ABR. Looks esp. interesting when you work out subsequent anticipated returns post- the May one, based on residual NAV. Also removing the currency hedge frees up an additional £8m of cash, previously required as collateral for the hedge.

Worth modelling NAV/returns & watching available prices on ABR.

I note also that ABR has the same administrator (Northern Trust) as AGOL. NT seems to be implementing a very similar compulsory redemption model for capital returns here to the one I've seen operate well at AGOL. Efficient & transparent.

Cheers,

Mark

Quantum Partners are part of Soros Fund Management they are traders, too big to follow IMHO. I have tried HAMP, SLE, FLYB etc :(

We/you would need to track all their US and global trades to get a view on the amount of risk they are taking.

I try to track them on the HFT Hedge Fund Tracking thread (link in the header). Feel free to post the Quantum RNS there and I will add charts to the Soros post.

Praipus do you rate Quantum Partners? Noticed them disclosing holdings in 3LEG recently and DSC today.

Used elance for some networking assistance a few years ago. I think Odesk is one of the largest if the not the largest site at the moment.

All the sites have good and bad coders. The trouble is picking them and then specifying the project. Most software projects fail anyway and the attrition rate when doing them online is obviously a lot higher. The biggest problem is specification especially where the customer doesn't have a coding background.

Personal assistants are much easier to hire.

Good idea, I knew this sort of service existed but didn't know where to start. Thank you.

In your shoes I'd consider getting a personal assistant to help. A few pounds a day could get you someone highly competent from a market where a few pounds stretches much further:

https://www.odesk.com/
https://www.elance.com/

Those sites would also be the place to find a coder. Difficult to find the right coders and to specify the project effectively, however.
