£8.10 appears to be the limit JDW will pay for buybacks. Looking good for the next update given an extra 2% in margin equates to a 40% increase in profit; and with the 'iron grasp' the management has on all aspects of the business the share price should imo run higher in the short term. Agree with other posters that my local Wetherspoons is rammed with customers every time I am in, they must be coining it in (as long as margins increase we are off to the races)..

Tim's old teacher Mr Wetherspoon who said he would never make it (or words to that extent) must have a smile on his face by now.

They certainly have the Footfall, margins are so low though. They do a White Wine called Denbies that actually cost's £4- more in the Waitrose in Greenwich round the corner from the Spoons!

The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has confirmed it will check all accounts set up with the UK's top 15 banks as part of new snooping powers.

New data has shown the proposals to check people's accounts will cost £370m to set up and £30m each year once it is fully up and running in 2032.

Around 97 per cent of people claiming benefits have an account with one of the UK's top 15 banks, which is where the DWP will focus its initial efforts.

They include Bank of Scotland, Barclays, Halifax, HSBC, NatWest, Santander and TSB.

Those 7 quid a pint drinks haven't lasted long at the new bar close to Spoons in my town. Quote Chute 50 and they are half price for a week ?It won't be long before they are half price for 12 months ?They have some great ideas lol ??

Bookies next door to Pub was almost mandatory. Still plenty of Bookies here but I do mine on line like most things now.
I do get a few blank slips, handy for shopping lists etc. Jennings are the best ones ;))

I didn't get sacked for that episode ,as only the cleaner knew ?Great having a pub next door to work though lol?Wetherspoons wasn't there then ,but very nearby now to the location ?That would have been marvellous. Have you ever had a pint ??
