IMV the wage cost pressures (and business rates being back to normal) will hit their competition far, far harder than Jdw will be. THey are far cheaper than the competition, and should be able to fully pass on any cost increases IMV.

ITs a though time for the sector, but at this share price, its fully asset backed, and moving forwards as a business, driven by a focus on generating free cash flow and then buying back freeholds and their own stock.

The rises are pretty small and none at all on alot of popular drinks. In fact I won't be paying any extra as I drink most things and change my drinks to suit my mood! lol
Was comparing Greenwich Spoons to the Kings Arms 5 mins walkaway Greene King IPA £1.79 vs £6.20 a double Smirnoff and Orange £12.50 vs £3.50 AU Vodka.
It's even worse in the Trafalgar where a pint of Guinness is £8 and a double anything about £15.
The Meal deals have gone up by 30p. Not sure if they'll rise again in April but still way below most competition, Craft Union are the only competition and they're still about 50% more in London.

I don't think people realise that an employee on the minimum wage from April will cost the employer some £30K.... taking into account the 15% NI in excess of £5K ... pension contributions, work equipment / space etc etc... £30K + and you will need to train the new person. I reckon this is the 'straw that breaks the camels back'

Back to JDW on balance and looking at the competition the numbers are half decent. With the support of continuing buy back the share price should imo rise from here... at least until buybacks are completed.

I agree that JDW has more room to increase prices than the competition, not sure as to when and how the increase will apply ie once or twice this year. One thing is that a lot fewer millionaires will be visiting given they are leaving the UK (one every 45 mins).... the link below although o/t re JDW I found most interesting.

That's 61 Sainsbury's Cafes closing down so a bit more trade Coffees, breakfast / hot meals should be coming to the nearby Spoons.

JDW looking to open in Spain with 3 initial sirtes all ready targeted. I think will do well in Europe, nothing similar I have seen. Better still rolling out franchise model so can use others capital & recieve royalty.

We also need to look at managers. To many by far Managers managing managers it says you are employing poor under management and have to employ a area manager to manage them Very poor directors that is what it says
