A34 I sympathise, I've tried to trade these a few times and usually got my timing badly wrong. worst was missing out on some of the big rise late summer. Now got solid core holding and picking up a few more on recent dips. Longer term think these are going well over £20, but probably not in a straight line. Although on previous form I shouldn't be making any predictions!

This was announced some weeks ago. The company admitted guilt, made no attempt to defend themselves, emphasised that they had totally transformed their practices and that the people involved had gone.

Certainly a cause of shame, but it's past history now and has no significant bearing on the present.

One of Scotland's largest companies has been fined £3m for breaching UN sanctions on Iraq by doing business with Saddam Hussein's regime.

Glasgow-based engineering firm Weir Group admitted paying kickbacks to the dictator's government a decade ago to secure lucrative business contracts.

The High Court in Edinburgh heard this had contravened the Oil For Food programme aimed at helping Iraqis.

Judge Lord Carloway also confiscated £13.9m of illegal profits from Weir.

The court was told that Weir Group Plc admitted two charges of breaching United Nations sanctions, imposed on Iraq before the 2003 invasion.

Strange that these are on the move up after haveing to pay up 16.9 M When I heard the news I was glad I had not bought in but seems its difficult to get it right.
