Rio Tinto and Lundin Mining Executives Strengthen W Management Team

W Resources Plc (AIM:WRES), the tungsten, copper and gold mining company with assets in Spain and Portugal, is pleased to announce the executive appointments of Juan Garcia Valledor as La Parrilla Operations Manager and Tomás Bragado as La Parrilla Plant Manager. Both executives have extensive operational experience in the Spanish mining and metals industry and join W's executive team in the lead up to the start of mining and completion of construction of the crusher and jig & mill prior to new year and the concentrator plant in the new year.

Juan Garcia Valledor gained valuable experience as Operations Manager for Rio Tinto talc ore mining and processing operations in Spain and has more recently been involved in the reopening of the Alquife iron ore open pit in Granada, Spain. Juan is a mining engineer with over 25 years of experience and will drive the start-up of the low cost La Parrilla open pit mine and lead La Parrilla operations.

Tomás Bragado joins the team from Aguablanca nickel and copper mine formerly owned by Lundin Mining, which is 180km from La Parrilla and brings 20 years plant and mine operations experience to the team. Tomás will work closely with Development Manager, Aaron Szumilak to prepare for and execute the ramp-up of production from the La Parrilla tungsten and tin processing plant. A key operational readiness task will be recruiting and training key operational and maintenance personnel, which is already underway.
