                         VT GROUP'S INVOLVEMENT IN FSTA


VT Group plc (VT), the support services and shipbuilding company, has welcomed
the announcement that AirTanker has been judged to offer the best prospective
value for money PFI solution for the UK MoD's Future Strategic Tanker Aircraft
Programme (FSTA).


VT is a full member of the AirTanker delivery team and will be a significant
provider of support services for this project.  VT will provide facilities
integration and management, elements of training, technical services and general
support.  VT is also in final negotiations for an equity stake in the holding
Company responsible for the FSTA programme.


VT Group plc Chief Executive, Paul Lester, said:
