02/11/2007 18:54 | Agree with you, but see my comments re.Change of Control clauses in the JV agreement. Does anyone know when it will be put to shareholders? Picked up some more today as they were down on market weakness. | tourist07
01/11/2007 22:34 | hi there, my guess is bae systems joint venture was market pleasing but is not totally confirmed until shareholders vote. If shareholders vote on the joint venture then potential takeover candiates could find vtg attractive to their strategic plan. | 2shemshersingh
01/11/2007 09:33 | This stock is a nice hedge on the market over the past few days .... market rises, VTG drops and vice versa. NK, up 20p in 2 days but down 30p the three days before that. This is still early stages. | tourist07
01/11/2007 08:22 | Up 20p in 2 days Is the takeover still on the cards? Has anyone got info/news? NKS | nksharpe
23/10/2007 01:04 | Bought in at £6 this morning, looks like much more upside than downside unless the market crashes. This has to have some legs, either on a re-rating or as a takeover target which it surely must be. I wonder what the JV with BAE Systems says about change of control at VT ... must be something there, BAE are cute and might have sought a de facto pre-emption right. I'll have a dig ... (probably should have done that before buying(!) but I've been in and out of this stock for a while and I think it's well worth £6 on fundamentals - and the drop this morning looked market induced). | tourist07

The company is merging its shipbuilding business with BAE so it can focus on its fast-growing defence services business | lbo
