Just bad luck, chevron who got the block could find the sweet spot (if any).

Panagos, have you noticed how brokerage BBS has been buying up vst at 1/2 cent over the last month? They bought about 1.5m shares today so far. The buyer must know about the consolidation coming up. What ya think is going on?

I just can't get my head around that NR. The way I understand it is that Vast takes on the debt from those subsidiaries and sells those subsidiaries for $325k payable in installments???? (I wonder how much the debt is).

Putumayo is obviously out of the hands of Vast and down to Sagres but I definitely remember that Vast was stated at one point to be the operator and that the 10% interest was effectivley being held on behalf of Sagres -nothing has been said to change that.

Over the last week the news from Vast, save for yesterday, has been silent as to Putumayo. There hasn't been any news out of Sagres at all but I'm guessing that the only way forward for sagres is a 50-1 too whether the block is lost or not.

If Vast are raising money for a new opportunity with an emphasis in South America, I suppose progress depends on the stage of any any exploration or development they buy into.

reports that it has completed a transaction with an independent third party company to sell two of its wholly owned subsidiaries historically involved in natural gas exploration and production operations in Alberta and Alabama. In consideration for the sale of the subsidiaries and the assignment of debt owed by the subsidiaries to Vast, the purchaser has provided Vast with a promissory note in the amount of $325,000, with interest payable at 3% per annum. The payments to Vast under the promissory note will be made in increments over a three year period.

The sale transaction by Vast is a divestment of two non-core subsidiaries with potential liabilities due to historical operations. This transaction is a part of the company's ongoing plans to restructure and refocus for its next potential venture. Vast currently holds a net 10% carried interest in the Putumayo 3 oil and gas block in Colombia and plans on evaluating and pursuing new acquisition opportunities.

It says 'up to' 50 for 1 but yes, I agree likely to be 50 for 1.

I think there are 261,890,00 shares so base line likely to be 5,237,800 which might take us to 25c before they start fundraising... keep ya fingers crossed... the pheonix needs to grow wings

Yeah, block was awarded to Chevron in January but I noticed a few articles about it over the last 24hrs - that's the formal agreement all signed up which will perhaps see the USD $3.25 Million recovered by VST.

No drilling on QD this year though,

begin seismic by year's end on the newly signed Qara Dagh block
