I'm new in VTC but not to its brands of which I have a few items.
Some question please about the share price. It seems to move up or down in sizeable absolute amounts: (20p or so) on very small volumes. The spread also varies quite a lot. Is that because it's thinly traded?

Shore Capital: Vitec on track for strong 2020

Vitec (VTC), which supplies equipment and services to the photographic and broadcast industries, can benefit from economies of scale despite a difficult 2019, says Shore Capital.

Analyst Tom Fraine retained his ‘buy’ recommendation on the stock after it warned that 2019’s financial performance was likely to be impacted by retail de-stocking in imaging solutions. The shares slumped 11.9% to £10 yesterday.

Fraine said the company’s ‘dominant position in the photographic and videographic equipment markets provide significant economies of scale including its ability to attract world-class talent to the group, develop products from its research and development facilities, lower production costs, and use its global distribution network to grow acquired companies’.

I flagged up increased risk with the rapid spate of acquisitions
previously, think markets giving VTC the benefit of the doubt atm
as would have expected a 20% plus decline on that update.
Optimists may see this as a one, offering an opportunity.
I'm not tempted, then again often too cautious. Luck to holders.

The FTSE 250 Index is currently @ approx 20985 - 1.6% below its all time high of 21348 achieved in June 2018.

The index is up over 10% since mid October.

I see this as yet another buying opportunity in this bear market. My experience of companies generally this year if bad news is flagged up earlier in the year..then when it appears in the results the market crushes them anyway. ie ZTF to name but one.

Disappointing rns, they should have flagged this much earlier. However basic company is sound and should come good

Well a trading update is imminent, let's see what they have to say.

2018 was an acquisition heavy year for Vitec, for me that raises the risk profile.

Not holding atm.
