Keep us all up to date with all this exciting news Fenn from the dynamic ROY. He has earned a nice few quid since joining vog but not as much as kev`s share of 12million $

I might even buy a few and wait for the inevitable ramped up spike..Those who bought into the hype last time will be jumping out pretty rapidly..

So West Dead? Roy been a bit too optimistic there? Political problems? Putin making sure all Russian assets and the income from them stay in Russia.Maybe the parties involved in the due diligence are waiting for the Perma Frost to disappear.. Another fifty years it will not exist.

What I am saying is all the commercially viable hook ups in Douala have taken place.

The thermal demand forecast for Douala was only 7 mmscf/d and we are now about 6 mmsf/d.

It is not a big market and never has been.

If you can name any "commercially viable" companies in Douala who are yet to take gas then give us some names expert ?

There are ZERO commercially viable customers that have not changed from HFO to gas in Douala.

If you know any then name them on here ?

There are a fair few small industrial companies that still use HFO in Douala that are simply not economically viable to connect to the 51Km gas network.

"The trouble with vog is they don't have enough gas to sell on the markets, and the gas they do have just covers the local need under contracts and if they try to increase the gas price the locals will just go back to oil.
Vog cannot win as they are just too small for open world /country markets under the current set-up.
Otherwise some other big companies would buy them outright if they could use the markets to drive growth."



Clearly CLAMPIT has no idea about pricing of fuel in Cameroon.

Today the price of HFO per barrel in Cameroon is $120-$125


If VOG charges a customer $16 per mbtu (this is the max they currently charge for thermal) this works out at roughly $80 per barrel.

At $16 VOG has huge margin.

Gas is cleaner, no storage costs and no boiler clean out required.

Why would gas customer return to oil which is 50% more expensive than gas currently ?
