Why would anyone expect anything different with the same old names popping up. You would think it would be hard to beat the Alltracel share performance. 89p to less then 14p from IPO to when management then decided to sell out. The only people who made money on that were the management who paid themselves handsome salaries and options every year. Suspect the same will happen with Venn.

Still a good company with excellent management. Early stage rapid growth usually comes at a cost so no surprise there. Almost a third of 2016 total sales, which were significantly higher than 2015, already taken and the proceeds of the Integumen float to be had. The new business model working well and more to come.

Short termism gone mad. Top up time methinks.

Maybe I am missing something, but as a long term investor picking up (not a huge amount of) shares each month I have a reasonable position now after 3 years. I am very content with the results as I prefer trends than highlights. Not a trader and more on a (very small) Warren Buffett style investor. So looking at the situation.

Small company, grows year on year, builds out by acquiring and integrating existing customer channels and leveraging past results on future growth. 18m in one year and 5.7m already in first 2 months looks to me like a fast growing company and not in a position to even consider cutting costs like a management accountant.

Integumen was a cost center that has been converted into a profitable return for shareholders and the imminent IPO shows that was the right thing to do as the additional 2m+ into that spin off shows there is support for such a step.

As for the volume of shares sold, I usually buy at the end of each month so a drop is a buying opportunity and will trigger the buy as usual at the end of next week, no matter where the share price.

All that said, this is a pension share and not a day trader speculative buy. So long as they continue to grow sales the core overhead will be reduced as a percentage of gross profit. Until they drop sales, I will continue to buy as the overhead criteria is known. Good luck to all in the next 12 months

Communication . Lack of it & misleading . 1st we had no TU when the previous year it was out early Jan2nd when it came they knew alright other than a one off Innovenn exceptional, they should have announced a profit warning 3rd results out well before last May's with no notice of them.Shocking really & market has reacted accordingly. Directors now need to buy shed loads to restore what little faith investors have left. I am glad to have dumped my holding at 20 p with a fair loss.

The strong momentum in 2016 has continued into this year to date with €5.7mln in contract wins in January and February.

“We will continue to expand our geographical coverage and further develop emerging areas of specialism during 2017”

“Our industry sector continues to deliver good growth and clear opportunities exist for Venn to grow both organically and through acquisition."

Added more on this weakness.

A confusing set of results (I'm easily confused), with core EBITDA AFAICS well below Hybridan's forecast for one? It would be useful to see an analyst report to identify any discrepancies.

The reassurance is that (1) as yump says the business appears to be growing strongly and scaling up, and the m/cap is only £10.5m relative to historic and growing 18m euros turnover, and (2) Integumen have a few minutes ago confirmed they will definitely IPO:

VENN will have 25.26% of an £8.16m m/cap based on a 5p admission price, i.e £2m of shares. Admission date is 5th April.

GHF

??

Very roughly, I make it that ignoring the one-off losses and the Innovenn gain, gives a loss of around 300K ? Which was roughly what came out last year.

That's now on a revenue of 18mln vs. 12mln last year. I can live with that.

Also have to remember they have guaranteed the overdraft and the investment value of of sold company will be impacted if there the fund raising fails.

A lot unsaid.

Agree yump. Looks like they've made an attempt to clear the decks by throwing a blanket over a legacy bad debt and number of costs while offsetting with Innovenn spin out.

Time to review their joint broker from the U.K. With increased scale I'd be happier to see them with a decent small cap broker like finnCap or Singers.

Kind regards
GHF

Jury out for a while longer then. 'Only' ! a question of sorting out costs, so that profit can drop out of the increasing revenue. Or, they must be close to a level where a bit more revenue will make quite a difference, assuming costs stay where they are.

Pretty unimpressed with how this company presents its figures. Why not just post them as they are.

Who would have thought if it wasn't for Innovenn, then there would have been a loss for the year. Always worrying when costs out weigh income by some 1 mill & the chances of pulling a white rabbit out of the hat for the next year maybe a little harder. Prospects do look fine but the management need to either cut or get costs under control. Sat wondering which way the market will take the results.

After hour's trade of 506,742 might have been holding the price back.

Think it will all depend on how easy it is to extract any exceptionals in order to see if the removal of losses from Innovenn will lead to a reasonable pre-tax profit in the coming year. If it will, then the forecasts will change and suddenly people will look partly to the year after.

If its all very 'cloudy', then the jury will still be out, but with a pretty short time limit before a guilty verdict appears.

After such a good contract win the company then had to release news that it was a related deal. The market did not like that, nor did they like no January update. So those who used the trend as their friend to exit, maybe were able to sell & now buy back in at a much lower level. We now have had a decent update but the market wants to know eps before reacting to the latest news. Obviously these aim listed companies share price can rise very quickly so your fingers need to be at the ready. My opinion for what it is worth is that we will see a large costs relating to the innovenn spin off & thus eps will look mediocre. In the past it has been prudent for me to only stick with the facts & not the hype that so many aim listed directors spout out.

VENN is a micro-cap with low liquidity. Movements like this are typical of such stocks.

Since we now know the company are trading well one might therefore call this a buying opportunity, particularly as there will be other times when there are barely any shares available to buy.

A solid hold and accumulate on the dips for me. A tad down on my overall investment but will keep the faith.GLA
