14/9/2010 11:02 | bought a couple 1000 just now. hope it helps | dr_ex
14/9/2010 10:22 | strong again today even a bit of a buying is likely to push the price up. | golla
13/9/2010 16:09 | I think this upcoming statement could be bullish. The final results said a higher oil price would drum up more business for them in Asia in particular which is where most of their revenues come from. The oil price is now higher so I would expect Velo to be bullish. Yah- I reckon 140p is a fair shout imo. | simon42
13/9/2010 15:42 | Nice 250k buy just before the close - should see this start strongly tomorrow, I hope. With EPS of 15p for last year (2009) and a pretty confident trading statement a few months ago, this has to be worth 140p minimum, I reckon. | gargoyle2
13/9/2010 15:42 | ohh..another big buy at the end | kimball808
13/9/2010 12:07 | yes strongly bid. | golla
13/9/2010 11:29 | and steady stream of buy's today, got to pop soon | kimball808
13/9/2010 10:57 | Yes, they were, but the price hasn't moved - in fact it's dropped today. This is on a historic PE of around 7, with good prospects and a lot of cash on the balance sheet. I already have a load of these, but couldn't resist picking up a few more at 108.6 today. Interim results are just a week away.. | gargoyle2
12/9/2010 17:44 | nice spot G2...they were some chunky buy's...:-) | kimball808
12/9/2010 10:20 | Anyone notice the massive volumes on Friday? Results in just over a week.. I'm wondering if there's some good news brewing. Hope so, this share has been a bit of a laggard recently. | gargoyle2
26/8/2010 08:45 | Velosi can be a very illiquid stock, and small retail trades (2,000 shares for example) are often enought to move the price by a couple of pence. The shares have had a good run, and unfortutnatley a nasty market is enough to prompt investors to bank some profit. My experience has been that market makers do not change their prices simply on the back of wider market movements, they only tend to move their prices on the back of business being done. One other piece of advice. The spread on this stock can be horrible - get your broker to phone up market makers - you may well get some improvement on RSP prices. | longueville
25/8/2010 22:50 | Markets are carp at the mo and oil has dropped about 15%. I dont see any company specific reasons for the drop and it just takes it back to the trendline on the chart....ish ;) | stegrego
25/8/2010 10:42 | I'm still comfortable. "meeting market expectations" means to me that I expect they will continue steady if unspectacular growth. The certainty seems to have increased if anything with BP's troubles in US. Very happy with the 20% annual growth since I bought them. If I had achieved that over the last ten yrs on all my portfolio I might be typing this from a yacht somewhere. IMHO buy on weakness. | melton john
25/8/2010 10:14 | falling before results always makes me nervous, any views? Am a long-term holder. thanks. | qs9
13/8/2010 17:59 | Velosi along with Kentz marked as buy in current 'Shares' mag, under a four page areport 'The complete guide to investing in...Oil equip & services' | kimball808
10/8/2010 18:00 | Now that would be nice.... | kimball808
10/8/2010 07:54 | you can only buy 750 at full price but sell 10k at a good premium, we are going to be breaking out and going north within the next few days | ghurah
09/8/2010 18:02 | 52 week break out today...:-) | kimball808
06/8/2010 14:17 | Are we about to break higher and towards 135p mark? | golla
06/7/2010 18:15 | Nice tick up : ) | darola
22/6/2010 21:01 | Hoodless B Velosi (VELO, 102.5p, £49.59m)provided a positive AGM statement this morning. While underlying markets remain volatile in line with oil and gas pricing. Uncertainty is promoting the need for safety and testing. The company has a strong base with 60% of 2010 forecasted revenues already contracted. The Group is continuing to trade in line with market expectations (PBT of c. £12.12m & EPS of c.14.51p). Significant new contracts wins in the Middle East and Africa include with Qatar Petroleum for c. $5m over 3 years from August & Abu Dhabi Ports estimated to be worth at least $6m over 4 years from January 2010. The group has maintained its strong cash position. Still looks cheap on only 7x FY estimates. We maintain our 135p PT which now looks to place the company on just over 9x consensus. BUY | stegrego
22/6/2010 12:58 | AGM statement out this morning. | foodcritic
22/6/2010 11:15 | a couple of what appears to be biggish buys today and yesterday | serotine
02/6/2010 09:32 | Thanks for your contributions and research Darola...most of the long termers are still here although we remain quiet now most of the time. Regards. | marvelman |
