Can't believe people still get sucked into the lies being told here and by Vast BoD. At the previous consolidation in 2021 there was a number of reasons given for share consolidation such as:
1. numbers of shares issued a lot higher compared to similar AIM companies and needed to be reduced

2. Low share price as around nominal value and had to be well in excess of it and therefore 100-1 consolidation

3. A higher share price would attract institutional investors as easier to market company

4. The subdivision will also pave the way for the Company to distribute dividends to shareholders as the Company becomes profitable, should it decide to do so.

Well in 3 years we have seen how well the company has performed from attracting institutional investors, generating profits (receiving all those dividends!) as well creating shareholder value especially in view of share price reaching nominal value in just under 3 years. It really was/is an impressive position and AP also invested £2 million of his own money on the day of the announcement as noted by the press. Oh sorry the actual amount invested was £209,250 as noted in the RNS ,'25,000,000 ordinary shares of 0.1 pence each in the share capital of the Company (“Ordinary Shares”) at a price of 0.837 pence per Ordinary Share on the Secondary Market.' The press made a decimal point error but lets not let that get in the way of a good lie, sorry fact. Oh yes please confirm how he paid for the shares or was it just shares for salary owed? Ring any bells for recent director share purchase? The company has struggled to pay its staff including directors and knows it cannot just issue shares and get private investors to pay these old liabilities. Just my own opinions as nothing based on fact as that would be wrong such as company stating in 2021 high quality mines being brought back into production, enlarging exploration target or 'In Zimbabwe, the Company is focused on the commencement of the joint venture mining agreement on the Community Diamond Concession, Chiadzwa, in the Marange Diamond Fields.'

Nah nothing rings a bell or those deferred shares issued in 2021 which company owned but now this time we have a twist as owned by shareholders. Anyone noted they had no rights to dividend payment last time and actually only value was their nominal value once ordinary shares paid out.

lol you guys crack me up. Thanks for the laughs. Who knows one of these deals may come off and you could actually be laughing but would you have made a profit 😂

Jungmana, when you look back it's absolutely shocking what has occurred here. Zimbabwe mining position was unfortunate but even there money needed to be invested and no guarantee that it would have provided a return to investors. Money always seemed to disappear in some project.

Other companies have done the right thing by investors when things have not worked out. There's a point at which you no longer dilute shareholders and enter administration as you cannot get the company to profitability. Vast BoD have no interest in their shareholders as can be seen in the last 20 odd years whether it's been known as Vast or African Consolidated Resources. Don't think I've seen another company like it on AIM which has got away with consolidations and dozens of share placements. It's one company where you definitly wouldn't want to be a long term investor.

Since the AFCR ( Roy Pitchford) days over GBP 60 million raised from investors and all wasted on numerous projects, in Zimbabwe, Zambia, Botswana, Romania, Tajikistan etc.10 to 1 consolidation in 2014,100 to 1 consolidation in 2021 And most recently , 6 to 1 consolidation in 2024 .Thousands of private investors have lost their hard earned cash here over the years with constant lies and hot air pedalled by chancers. This is a lifestyle company for the BOD and imo the company should be dissolved and delisted to stop more people from losing their cash .

Another pitiful week for Vast and another low in the share price taking into account the consolidation. A further 10% plus down on the first day. Most consolidations are done to turn the page and get new investors on board. Slightly different here as it's to undertake a placement to keep the lights on. All the talk about it beibg something else is fanciful.

As per previous placements the company is keen to put out positive points but as always not backed up by any figures or contracts. The market makers have no choice but to reduce the share price to clear the placements.

Those talking about large investors buying in, IIs etc have all shown to be false as can be seen though large holdings declarations, where are they?

Management and BoD don't have faith in the company as shown by their collective share position, approximately 0.037%. Probably see this increase as Directors take part in the placement via bonus payments they will be owed. Company doesnt have the money to pay the bonus and it looks good commercially.

Let's see where the share price is this time next week. A premium to the expected 0.6 by BoD or down further from current share price 0.32. I wonder if they got the sale of platinum concentrate in before the end of February. I don't believe they have based upon previous track history but let's see what they have to say.

Can the BoD do enough to get new investors in as they have burnt their bridges with a lot of investors as shown with the outpouring of negativity across boards.

actually nice reading the board today. Yes it's been negative but to be expected in view of Vasts current position. BP has been disappointing to date. Once funding for ongoing operations sorted may once again be investable. All depends on whether they can control costs, increase production and have access to higher graded ore. Let's see if company is prepared to put some targets out there. Hardly ever seen a company not provide production expectation for the year unless it's having major problems. With three years plus mining investors have to put their own guesstimates out there. Currently 14000 per month based upon previous targets provided. There's potentially going to be down time etc etc but we are none the wiser. Some transparency would be good so investors can make an informed decision on whether to invest going forward.

If BP was one of the projects I was looking after I would looking at analysing the return on investment going forward.

Just looking back for a moment, the facility had all large infrastructure in place but a lot of items needed to be repaired and some items replaced. the mine has now been in operation for over three years. It was supposed to start generating free cash flow after the first year. Plan was labour intensive but was reworked to become a mechanised mine plan. The majority of equipment been in place for nearly two years now and was supposed to increase production significantly. This hasn't happened. Millions have been spent on the mine above original and revised forecasts to get mine to name plate capacity of 14,000 tonnes per month. A year later on and still not hitting name plate capacity and not enough money generated for development work. Every target to date missed.

As investors/owners of the mine (well I only own about 100,000-200,000 shares, different trading account to 99% sold this morning) we should be kept updated on what this additional funds raised will actually achieve. With a market cap of just under £4m are we not better off letting the creditors take over the mine as its not generating any cash for investors!

Vast have other interests which can generate money going forward and probably worth the current market cap alone.

In addition there is the parcel of diamonds which could potentially return multiples of current market cap.

The potential mass dilution would reduce any returns toshareholders. Is this actually in shareholders interest? Is it the case BP mine will not generate any free cash until substantial further investment. Clarification is needed. Is it the case shareholders are being sacrificed to protect the third party real estate?

I can understand BoD wish to continue with BP but only if it's in the interests of shareholders to do so. Not sure if they have been working in our interest these past 12 months.

AP is no fool. The share direction has been one way over a number of years. I believe recent share purchase during equity raise was also out of deferred payment owed to AP which was unlikely to be paid in view of losses being made. Please let me know if I read this incorrectly. He probably thought diamonds around the corner and would make a return on investment. I think he will but share price currently approximately a fifth of his purchase price at 0.55p

It's possible David Ian Jones purchased his shares for a lot more than £250,000 depending on when he invested but the market cap was a lot higher as well.

The truth is there are not any real big individual investors in Vast. Vast needs to demonstrate it can generate cash, not just live from one placement to the next. A previous CEO with AP did a presentation and stated Cash is King when asked about the share price and when it would increase. Only when they could demonstrate to the market cash flow generation over a number months would they be taken seriously and see larger investors including IIs. The same applies today.

Remember this from the finals

In the event that the receipt of the historic claim proceeds were received after 30 November 2023, management is confident that with continued progress in the realisation process Mercuria and Alpha would remain supportive. To date, Mercuria and Alpha have extended the original repayment date several times. However, as mitigation, the Company continues to engage with investors and debt providers in order to provide liquidity to repay the Mercuria and Alpha debt and to articulate the fundamental strength of the Group’s business so as to attract additional funding when required.

So the “ongoing initiatives as previously announced” bit of today’s RNS could mean the diamonds, but its more likely in my view to be referring to these other engagements with investors and debt providers.
