As this is the UK stock exchange you would have thought they would have had the common decency to do a currency conversion on it first.

well they've issued themselves options at 0.61 in CAD so you'd think they reckon they are going to make some money on those and presumably they kept their 'promotion' in check prior to the issue, if they have any clue that is

Thx also from me to Adam and Paul Curtis for their comments - good to see both so positive about UGY. That's enough for me to be confident too!

Adam - thanks for update.

What was decided about the proposed name change?

Will they be re-naming the company to Orosur Mining?

Thanks Adam ...

I only said reducing!

It does seem the muppets are out in force though, and it will only end in tears for most!

the dash for trash was happening since March/April

i agree there are some worrying elements to the retail involvement at this juncture but it reminds me of Late 1999 so i still want to be around for any dot.com type bubble blow-off phase :-D

he also brought many other shares to peoples attention, some massive losers.

This dash for trash is starting to worry me, and I am reducing my exposure to the market accordingly.

Ford take a look at LDP this morning, highest ever volume yesterday and rounded with a 1million buy at close.

Zengas also a holder, the guy who brought GKP to the attention of many

"The letter of intent sets out a commitment, subject to due diligence by both parties, to enter into a definitive agreement by October 13, 2009.

Due diligence is still being undertaken by both parties and the parties have agreed to extend the date of signature of the definitive agreement to October 30, 2009. "

BREAKING NEWS!!!
14th October 2009
Mwana Africa PLC
Freda Rebecca - First gold production

Mwana Africa PLC ("Mwana" or the "Company") is pleased to announce the first pour of gold following completion of Phase 1 of its refurbishment programme at the Freda Rebecca gold mine in Zimbabwe. 180 ounces of gold doré were produced on 13th October 2009.

Planning for Phase 2 of the refurbishment programme, which is expected to increase output to in excess of 50,000 ounces of gold per year, is well advanced. This will involve the rehabilitation of the second milling circuit and an increase in the capacity of underground mining equipment.

Kalaa Mpinga, Chief Executive Officer of Mwana said: "The first gold pour marks a significant milestone in the redevelopment of our assets in Zimbabwe and I would like to pay tribute to the application and dedication of our management team and staff who have made this possible."

buying FVX gets you into UGY potentially 40-50% cheaper as UGY have bid 0.456 UGY shares for every 1 FVX share ; although there is deal break risk, i don't think it is of the tune of 40-50% personally

patelboya - it's the other way around. The price of UME affects FVX due to the purchase price.
