11/6/2007 08:57 | et, Not sure if you are actually bearish. Maybe just a bit of a realist. The Macquarie article is quite bullish. ==================== $200 A POUND POSSIBLE IN NEXT 2 YEARS Macquarie considers uranium bear territory but still bullish in near-term ==================== Plenty of time to make an absolute killing in these markets. Cheers, Niels | nielsc
10/6/2007 20:24 | Good post Pap, U is not rare, miners who are ready to roll should do well. BHP Billiton have the world's largest supply, iirc. "THE price of uranium already up 85 per cent since January could reach $US200 a pound within two years, Australia's biggest securities firm, Macquarie, says. Analysts have revised forecasts for the nuclear fuel upwards following its dramatic run this year, driven by dwindling supplies and limited expansion opportunities. The spot price of uranium rose to $US138 a pound last week. It began the year at $US72 a pound." | mad jack mcmad
10/6/2007 18:20 | Also, nuclear power station technology is 1) proven and 2) 2nd generation stations will be able to resolve a lot of the problems with the earlier ones. Watch for a surge in power station building and a similar surge in demand for the power source. The mineral might not be scarce in the ground, but the supply of the mineral out of the ground will be a different matter and those miners that are in place to ramp-up and meet demand will profit. | gbb483 |
