Just for newcomers its important to note that Steve Staley was part of the team that took Cover Energy from 3m MC to 1.2bn MC within three years.

no wonder people are willing to join a management team which has that history.

Excellent volume and turnover today. Sells getting hovered up nicely and when the big news comes all but a very few will be in tight hands and it will be goodbye 1s hello 3s or 4s.

I think it's a master stroke from UPl to get Tony Fernandez and co on board.

Because of their great success, in investing circles, Tune Group have many followers.

Result = UPL now high profile centre stage

Retail investors generally like to get on board a share like this. Even better it is on the main market plus the chance of making a good % return for a small investment.

The 471k at 10.52 and at 1.80 was a buy! Smokes and mirrors. Very few (if any) sells. This can be over 2p by end of close tomorrow with the possibility that one of the weekend press may pick up on it too now it is mentioned in The Times.

the Upl presentation and case for investment must have been utterly compelling.

These guys now own approx 16% of an oil company. They would have been made insiders and most likely seen the type/scale of assets being discussed. They could have gotten into any oil company so why would UPL be one of the few companies for them to invest in? I'm sure like their other interests they will be looking for a return in multiples from such a small main listed fledgling company.
