I would of thought once TD was reached
that warrants a RNS and a basic analysis,
TO FOLLOW, but a more in depth one could
land at anytime, these can take a while.

Yogaboy - I agree with your assessment ref timetable - the twittergram must have reached the bottom and started drilling back up to surface by now ;-) - but regardless of the duration or complexity of the analysis, they'll have to say something to market about initial findings before/when the rig moves

There will need to be a concensus between all parties on next steps as well.

Not sure why there is any expectation of instant news. Many assumptions have been made about timetable, but ENSCO 72 is still in position. Perhaps analysis will take a few days / couple of weeks after all the kit has packed up and gone.Does anyone have experience of the actual timetable for producing the requisite information, rather than just optimistic guessing?

Or maybe they have a technical issue.

I am still a bit uncertain about the outcome.Maybe a lot of number crunching is needed to see if it is a commercially viable well or on the other hand they are still unconscious after hearing about how good this is?Take your pick!

Interesting angle shares, Wick negatively priced in. Given earlier highs, you might be right.

Yes we know it's a Exploration drill!!
I'm looking forward to the information
that this drill has, that's the heads up
I'm looking for, I'm not expecting a fountain
of oil .....lol

Wick is an exploration well so less chance of success than an appraisal well but a greater risk/reward ratio.Wressle did not go anywhere so hope they have success with this 'W' project!

Well I disagree a bit.
We had a cracking RNS of late with lots
of potential, but let's remember we were
supposed to be drilling wick in Sept!!!
So I think holders have been patient and
it's now time for holders to get some
value, at the moment wick is the only
SURE! News so it's obviously important.
All very well waiting for updates on
Sarawak and Tunisia but that's been
ongoing and impossible to put a timeframe
On it.
I kinda see a negative on wick almost
already priced in, it may hit 2.5p
But a success I would like to see this
break 4p at least with another bit
of good news push this to 8p.
I think that's a level headed target.
Good luck all!! next week I may
just get the answer.....😉

Ideally yes! Might be the second or third though, although I'm gonna stay on the bus until we reach the station :)

20 would be a very welcome first stop.

Yeah a long way to go and lots to unfold. Shares, then you have to employ a little patience! Depends what that success would be of course, might be worth less than that, could be worth more, but the main thing is it would help facilitate us towards 20 and beyond..... so long as you're patient!

If wick is successful, and this does little
In terms of the share price not at least going to
8p then you just have to wonder what
the Hell is happening??

Agreed throwing there is little priced in. At 3.2p I am up exactly 100% from my 1.6p, and I bought when there was no Wick, no Tunisia and no Sarawak. Max in the price is the other 1.6p.

Also, although etap has the right to reverse in for 50%, it was stated they have rarely done so historically, and that they rarely take even 40%. So we may have a larger chunk to entice a bigger player than we think.

From the timeline, Sarawak progress shouldn't be too far away as well. The market has been waiting and wanting to hear more for a long time, much of the fizz has come out the share price over the last few months with the news blackout, and I would expect much to go back on. It's hard to imagine news from there that wouldn't give us a boost, and there's obviously a chance it's even better than we've been hoping for. Can't really say there's much priced in can we?

Little has been said in relation to the last RNS on 2nd Jan. If they don’t need the loan facility they must have something up their sleeve and surely we will find out what.

Divmad, ref 7059 - I think you're right - it's a huge, underexplored area, and it's going to take that long before production starts, and possibly even before reserves are booked.

I brought it up in the context of cash needs over the coming months, because UPL only has to deliver the minimum requirements. However, as throwingmuses mentioned, Dr S has indicated that UPL intends to accelerate E&A faster than the minimum demanded by the licence, i.e. by drilling a well. But that is a choice.

Moreover, there are other ways through which its value might increase before then, such as nlmbidc's point about any farm-in to part of UPL's 50%.

Considering how much skin the BOD have in the game I think they have been very generous. Have you checked the capital structure to see owns what?
