It will be very interesting to see the line that Petronas toe through this process. Tricky for them to try and keep a foot in each camp and hopefully UPL will be the 'local' beneficiary.

Agree druidinvestor unless our boards close ties manage to circumvent the process in some way. However a PSC or two with PETRONAS on a big asset would put a fire under this and as you say well worth the wait.

Yes Soul, I don't think it's likely we'll see much happening before July. Then the August elections might muddy the waters a little. Well worth the wait though and at least we have Wick to hopefully prop up the share price in the meantime.

Thanks for the link druid, looks like things still a way from being sorted in Sarawak. Not sure if that affects us getting our asset(s).

Sarawak Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg had yesterday said Petros would kick-off its exploration activities in Miri by July this year.

And they did not invest to have their money lying around in Upland's bank account.

Apparently things recently became a lot clearer in Sarawak and the investment by the Malaysians should tell us that things are close. As we can all imagine tune aren't here to bet money on a north Sea well.

That said we need to get weaving.

It's becoming a bit of a yawn.Wasn't there something about having to await Sarawak decrees in Malaysian Parliament?

soulsauce, this time last year I would have been sceptical but with recent RNS' and the developments in Sarawak, I am confident it will happen well before the spudding of Wick..fingers crossed!

Some of the buys are being reported as sells. MM's are getting short of stock again. This will blow on news. All IMHO & DYOR

Below taken from pg 5 from the Baron Oil presentation:

Interpretation shows the Wick structure to be
closed and sealed by thick Kimmeridge Clay.
The drilling location lies significantly updip
from the Lybster oilfield spill point

The structure is bounded by complex strikeslip
and thrust faulting and there are
indications of other closures within the Wick
Structural Complex that will not be tested by
the first well

PS Not about, but £3.5m and I meant to say a few companies would be delighted if they could release RNS' like the one Upland did the other day.

LW425, 'shock RNS' when they have managed to secure about 3.5m I reckon a few companies could release 'shock RNS' like UPL!

Are you for real?

So why did the price drop back after the previous two spikes, err profit taking, selling to buy back cheaper. It's what happens and has no bearing on the CLNs or the market being nervous jeeze.

And the price went up with good volume and is dropping down on bits of selling.

The stock market is obviously not for you LW.

Sells now at 2.5p.

I'm not surprised.

With no floor on the loan note conversion price the market appears increasingly nervous as it digests all possible outcomes from last week shock RNS.

Either way it's a sell and a buy with a small premium to the trader.
