26/1/2018 18:00 | This is what I replied with Thanks for coming back to me Rob Have you asked the Board or are you just stating the financial calendar? I would suggest that the company needs to put a trading statement out post year end and before interim results. Private investors (and I’m sure corporate investors) are obviously very very concerned at the share price performance. It’s around 66 pence as I write this and in the absence of some positive news it will drift and drift. Happy to receive a call xxx from yourself or senior management to discuss Kind Regards John | john09
26/1/2018 17:58 | LL. What you say makes sense BUT another interpretation could be a last desperate throw of the dice - So far as I can see on the surface very little to differentiate the product offering from competition and competing on price is usually fatal unless you are by far the lowest cost producer aiming to drive competitors into liquidation - Not sure that this could apply here given the hints of increasing cost pressures in China. | pugugly
26/1/2018 17:20 | Yep same response here as well as I'm intrigued as to the shareprice obliteration. The good thing is there can't be anything majorly different regarding the fundamentals or else they would have to announce so a positive for me | kirk 6
26/1/2018 16:55 | Hi John, I got the same response. Can't get my head around this share price. I know there has been a consistent big seller out there, but surely another II would have snapped up a big volume at the low price that he seems to be prepared to take? We know the retailers have had a mixed bag of results over Xmas (B%M and discounters good, Supermarket okayish, high street retailers poor) but surely this is all priced in the share anyway? Share price was holding around 90-100p after the original "no growth next year" warning, dipped a bit and then back up to the high 90's when TU in November plus big Director buys at 93.25p were announced. What has changed since then, other than 1 big seller wanting out at stupidly low prices? My research today shows that UPGS are currently advertising for 15 new people including 2 new Sales Managers for France and Germany as part of their European expansion plans. New German office will be ready in the Spring and planning for a large sales team to be appointed. Surely if things were as bad as share price suggests, there would be a recruitment freeze? | lammylover
26/1/2018 15:21 | So I’ve had a reply from IR, simply regurgitated the year end which is next week and the interim results which are April. Clearly there will be a post year end trading statement (after 31st Jan) and I made that point in my reply. | john09
26/1/2018 13:29 | Well done to the ceo -a far sighted visionary. | meijiman
26/1/2018 12:08 | city - the sell at 62 was a order book sell part of a bigger trade that went through so the average sell of that trade will be a lot higher. Eastbourne - its almost a definitive there is bad statement coming out, this stock has been absolutely smashed recently and for no apparent reason. Everything is looking pretty good but someone knows differently and I am expecting a pretty bad trading statement shortly. Again though I reckon this is mostly if not all priced in. | kirk 6
26/1/2018 11:55 | seems i bought those back a day too soon! still, it lowered my avg. don't have funds to buy today in any case its already bounced off the low c.64p though there was a sell at 62p. i will let it settle, it may retest that low again. by which time hopefully i have some funds available. | citytrader66
26/1/2018 11:46 | kirk 6, If a dire statement comes these will tank regardless of previous price moves. Whether there is a dire statement is another question. | eastbourne1982
26/1/2018 11:31 | I've been adding in size here. Like the risk-reward at this price. | aishah
26/1/2018 11:24 | actually just looking at the order book it looks very good now and cant buy many. Maybe today has been capitalisation day | kirk 6
26/1/2018 11:20 | never actually seen a share go down so religiously for so long. my average is now 78p but must be so many with averages over £1.50 | kirk 6
26/1/2018 11:15 | Its obvious the market has got wind of a terrible Christmas trading statement to come out. The good thing is that with a 52m mkp everything and more is priced in. So even a dire announcement now will likely see some form of recovery in share price | kirk 6
26/1/2018 11:15 | Good buying point now I believe - I'm in for more and expecting a decent chance of a move north from here. The share price is way oversold now and a very good profit opportunity for those taking the opportunity to buy-in from here. | tallprawn
26/1/2018 11:11 | I think after FFI with Massive directors buys and loads of cash, this one is one to watch as well! | costax1654x
26/1/2018 11:06 | Keeping my holding, but will refrain from adding more given the trend in recent trading sessions - see where it settles first | mister md
26/1/2018 11:00 | Hi Pug, I'm no expert but I reckon we're close to the bottom....perhaps time for you to buy and don't sit on side lines any longer? Just my view..Rich | lammylover
26/1/2018 10:50 | LL: Thanks for that - and suggesting recruitment part of the site - Certainly look as though they may trying hard to expand down the buying chain and broaden penetration - as both markets seem to be major chain dominated. Could this be the case IYV ? | pugugly
26/1/2018 10:44 | Probably 68p | john09
26/1/2018 10:43 | Lets see where share price ends today eh? | lammylover
26/1/2018 10:39 | A 7% dividend yield is great, however less so when the shareprice drops by 7% in a single day ... :-( | mister md
26/1/2018 10:37 | Should they be issuing a "We know of a reason but are not telling you" RNS? | kemche
26/1/2018 10:33 | Been driven down to get big seller to capitulate....MMs acquire a load at bargain price, then start walking the price back up...or am I wrong? | lammylover
26/1/2018 10:13 | Actually Pug, they are recruiting 2 new Sales Managers, one for Germany and one for France. The showroom in Cologne will be open in Spring 2018. Looking to recruit a large European sales team, starting with two new roles, that of Sales Managers for France and Germany for the retail markets. This is the beginning of huge expansion plans and the new Managers will be future European sales Directors... | lammylover
26/1/2018 10:10 | Hmmm another deep shake | john09 |
