TRADING UPDATE

Ultimate Products, the owner, manager, designer and developer of an extensive range of value-focused consumer goods brands, announces the following unscheduled trading update.

The Group has continued to trade strongly since its interim results, announced on 29 April 2019, and there has been better than expected revenue growth across each of its four strategic pillars - i.e. discounters, UK supermarkets, online platforms, and international customers.

As a result, the Board now anticipates that FY19 revenue will be between GBP121.5m and GBP122.0m, and that the underlying profit before tax performance in FY19 will therefore be above the market's current expectations.

The Board will provide a further update on the Group's trading performance following the conclusion of the financial year (ending 31 July 2019) on 9 September 2019.

Yes, there are only 2 bright spots in retail. On-line and Discount retailers. Bodes well for UPGS as they are positioned in the sweet spots. I hold Action indirectly through 3i Group plc. Action has been by far their best investment in the last decade.

It was tipped heavily in the Small Company Share Watch. This wknds issue seemed to predict the start of a 27-38% correction this year in the S&P 500 as a barometer for the UK markets. Maybe this has led to some selling out.

It's been tipped in a lot of places. Not surprising that those without a deeper understanding and having bought at the top are getting out as it heads south post Divi. Bit of a cascade after that. Imagine this could go potentially for another 10p until wiser heads grab a bargain.Many small shares on my watchlist seem to be dropping as we head to the less liquid time of the year.If I recall there was a trading update in September last year.All part of the fun.
