Posted at 28/12/2016 15:54 by pugugly price action suggests to me that the end might be coming shortly - massive volume so could be a large holder bailing out at any price - OK could have fallen below their limits or new manager BUT very often these falls appear to be due to data leaking (imo)Anyone still following got any thoughts ? Was tempted to bottom fish but lost too many finger recently !! |
Posted at 30/3/2016 10:43 by mortimer7 Mach100, thanks for your kind words & your views on CHOC. I didn't realise there was Midas coverage - that usually helps.I'm also in around 99p so todays rise is very welcome. |
Posted at 29/3/2016 13:39 by mortimer7 Saw this on the leaderboards today & started to research.Looks like this mornings buying has driven the price upwards, I'd no idea it was so illiquid, just 38k of transactions today is close to a new 3 month volume high. On that basis, it would seem if volume picks up the share price could move rapidly. But obviously that works both ways. |

Posted at 08/1/2015 15:47 by rufio90210 Yo,Im trying to make sense of the news on 5th January regarding excersise of options. So 160k of shares are going to be added to the current 18million which I am guessing may briefly lower the share price? Then the director is looking to buy 28% of the shares which I should think would make it boom upwards? Only been trading couple of months and first time Ive come across this scenario would greatly appreciate a little advice to help ascertain its meaning and influence on current SP |
Posted at 08/12/2014 14:54 by andrbea price shake overnorthward rise resumes Consumption of chocolate confectionery in the Asia-Pacific region averaged 200 grams per person last year, less than the Middle East and Africa, according to Euromonitor. Demand expanded 4.5 percent, the fastest rate in the world and almost six times the global increase of 0.8 percent. Australia and New Zealand munched the most chocolate with 4.8 kilograms (10.6 pounds) per person, followed by Western Europe at 4.6 kilograms. Barry Callebaut doubled chocolate output capacity in Asia to 90,000 tons in 2014 from five years ago and a further increase is possible, Mikael Neglen, the Asia-Pacific chocolate president, said in a June 6 interview. The Swede moved to Singapore last year before his company spent $950 million for the cocoa-ingredients unit of Petra Foods Ltd. in the country. |

Posted at 05/12/2014 14:41 by andrbea also:But all these new chocoholics are having an effect on the industry at a global level, with the price of cocoa beans skyrocketing to 3,371 USD a ton in September of this year. Chef Daue says "the availability of cocoa beans to meet the growing demand for chocolate will become all chocolatiers' biggest challenge worldwide." Euromonitor, meanwhile, states that worldwide demand has steadily increased at just under three percent per annum, and attributes the desire for cocoa powder in particular to "the change in global consumption patterns in emerging countries," specifically the "millions of new consumers" living across Asia. |
