Posted at 13/1/2015 14:22 by hiddendepths I wonder if CNOOC are taking them out. If they believe in the acreage, as I do and as they have said in the past, it would be a very cheap way of upping their interest. Screamingly cheap in fact.It breaks my heart how many appallingly mispriced oil stocks there are at present. In most cases, no rectification is likely in the foreseeable future and they can't borrow or raise the small sums to demonstrate the value. So many of them will die or get bought out for a fraction of their intrinsic worth. If CNOOC is about to pounce on UEP, it's hardly great news for we holders who think the shares are worth so much more. :-( Still, I suppose it gives us an exit. |

Posted at 26/6/2012 16:04 by kiwimonk Never know with big blocks, it might be transfer from one holder to another for a penny difference in advance of something corporate.Maybe the Chinese have struck big oil, UEP has the potential to be a giant. NSN likewise if it holds it's stake. |
Posted at 09/5/2012 20:13 by ducatiman Sooooooo under the radar!! Come on uep, give us some more info:- areas, prospectivity, exploration timetables. Has to be good for cnooc to get involved up their gonads so shout it out please, TIA, duc. |
Posted at 05/4/2012 09:34 by ducatiman The main interest here currently is the png licences and cnooc farm in but the moil news should be seen as positive for uep. Don`t forget they have uranium acreages in Madagascar, which I believe are very prospective"MADAGASCAR OIL LIMITED ("Madagascar Oil" or the "Company") 5 April, 2012 Update on Exploration Blocks Madagascar Oil is pleased to announce that it has successfully resolved the outstanding issues with the Government of Madagascar surrounding its three exploration blocks ("the Exploration Blocks"). Key Updates 0 Following a recent Management Committee Meeting with OMNIS, the state regulatory agency responsible for overseeing the country's oil and gas operations, the validity of the Production Sharing Contracts ("PSCs") for Blocks 3105, 3106 and 3107 was confirmed and the forward work programme and budgets for the blocks were approved. 0 This means that Madagascar Oil and the Government have now resolved the outstanding issues surrounding the Exploration Blocks and there are no further disputes with the Government of Madagascar regarding the Company's licenses". |
Posted at 01/4/2012 17:18 by kiwimonk There's a lot of information if you look hard. But really, what else do you need to know! CNOOC have farm'd in. They're aren't after a paultry 50-100m barrels. They need Billions, and they only go after the Bills. UEP have struck an ace deal. They'll be all over the press when CNOOC hit the black gold and a Mk Cap in the hundreds of Millions if they do. Posted at 26/3/2012 11:11 by bandflex At least its progress, and CNOOC will not be selling into any rise. Lets hope UEP release a report showing what they think they may have in those license areas, it must have impressed CNOOC. |
Posted at 27/10/2011 23:17 by tomboyb 1.28p to be precise - Fantastic rise and i hope they give details to the potential of those PNG licences - In all holding with NSN. How they have done it is something that is worthy - PNG licences for an equity swap in UEP. That effectively means any PNG value is in UEP equity and in-line with shareholders interest as well. |
Posted at 27/10/2011 13:11 by tomboyb UEP has risen significantly - I would imagine time to update on those licences - Consequently - NSN's stake in UEP is worth more than big brothers entire cap - Come on UEP. |
