hi wooly have a read puts your mind at rest

I spent 3 long years watching my OPTI holding standing at a loss. At one point over £5,000 loss. I spent those 3 years buying dips till I got my average price down from about 85p to 67p. If we hadn't gone through the slightly bonkers rise a few weeks back, I would be deleriously happy right now with paper profit of £6,500.

The climb to 130p was exciting and welcome, but it was premature. Traders will have made a mint. Long term investors who refused to top slice will feel hard done by, but we're still in. This is a share you really want to be in. I would have preferred a slow gradual rise to this price, and dream of an equally slow steady rise from here. It ain't going to happen! With only 90 million shares, most of which in long term hands, this has been and will be a volatile share. Just close your eyes and give it a few years, then look at the share price.

Forget 130p. Remember 55p. It wasn't that long ago. After recent news I'm more excited than I've ever been to call myself a long term OPTI shareholder. Most companies would be over the moon with just one of our multi national deals. We have at least 4 and heaven knows how many more in the pipeline, for 3 completely different products, the most exciting of which hasn't even got started yet.

Forget Go Figure revenues. That's always been designed as a loss leader to demo the product.

Don't forget the thumping great SBTX divi on top of the core products.

Don't forget the tie-in with Bened and the potential of psycobiotics.

Don't forget we still have a platform capable of discovering new strains.

Don't forget we're at the forefront of one of the fastest growing and most important frontiers of human health on the planet.

Finally, don't forget that we have a CEO who has been accessible, as open as he can be when protecting our own bargaining position and corporate NDA compliance obligations, who is our biggest shareholder and who has recruited a world class BoD with remarkably small running costs. He could gave spent all our money on an opulent office, but instead invested it in SBTX, built a pharma grade manufacturing line attracting multi national pharma companies, and scaled up Go Figure production so we could fulfil national retail contracts.

I can't be anything but happy with OPTI, and am buzzing with excitement at what's coming over the next few months.

The chart was right, I ignored it we both thought the same, how wrong can we be, expect the mm's are controlling it and those in the know.

Got us well and truly locked in humph, 25% off my investment, same old aim, another warning to leap out when in reasonable profit, could return to 60's imo, those that buy sub 70p are in for a tidy profit, if good news hits?

hi wooly i wont use stop loss on OPTI the SBTX special dividend would be lost if there was a sell on the stock and, i am not worried in the least about the drop in the sp, ok not nice to see, but the company is in very very good shape indeed.
well motorcycle racing british super bikes and world super bikes on over next 2 days on eurosport 2 sends me over the moon

Morning humph nice to see some recovery, could be wise to set up a stop loss prevent the same happening again and take profit if it returns year high.

Stop loss can be useful, but' imo sometimes group traders/mm's cause a drop which activates investor stop loss, fine if the stock continues to drop, as opti did, but a trap is set for sudden drop and recovery same day, unnoticed by investor on the day.

Imagine having 10/20% stop loss set, stock drop unnoticed, possibly recovers buy back back higher, witness with Rockhopper, those in position must have made a million that day, mr hindsight strikes again lol.

Got an old astra I keep running for the family break downs, the £600 bill, plus don't laugh corsa 1.4 turbo petrol, very good on fuel and road tax.

Looks like there will be a top up opportunity around 60/65p the way its looking, lets hope it doesn't go below that grrrr!
