04/4/2018 07:29 | Belated welcome Saucepan, I recognise your name from a number of other good performing share BBs I hold which is always a good sign! Looks like MAB1 gave him £3m quid to join. Nice work if you can get it. Think this was a 'good leaver' situation by the looks of it: | alphabeta4

20/3/2018 08:04 | Some chunky increases across most mortgage lines in March. I suspect the positive share price jump is a reaction to this. | alphabeta4

18/12/2017 07:48 | 3 year with Metro Bank announced - i line with their stated intention to more deals with banks & mortgage providers. As they are (effectively) providing in house software for MetroBank they are going to be difficult to displace. | glaws2
07/12/2017 16:56 | ULS - i went to the investor presentation post interims last week - given by the CEO and FD. A bit of duplication with the post above but the key messages for me were : * This is a very fragmented market where there is plenty of opportunity to grow organically and via acquisition. Even after the most recent acquisition ULS only has 2.6% of the market. Mgment target is to grow share to 10%. * The market (based on housing transactions) is effectively flat so ULS are growing (18% organic growth shown in interims) because of their competitive advantage/ technology edge. * The management team see plenty of opportunities to gain further contracts with the big banks/mortgage providers. They are targetting two significant banks per annum over the next three years. by way of example in 2017 they won Sainsburys Bank, Magellan Homeloans and a 50 branch estate agency business called Magellans. * Whilst core market is conveyancing management have undertaken a pilot and just launched a new produced based on providing house sellers with information on local estate agents allowing them to compare: - commission rates - number of deals completed - percentage of asking price achieved (which is relevant) - average days to achieve sale its branded estateagent4me - all pretty early stage and they need to prove they can monetise it but looks interesting. * company continue to look at further acquistions (they mentioned they had recently walked away from a couple) and given the fragmented nature of the industry these can be picked up at relatively low EBITDA multiples. * management seemed pretty confident that they can maintain the 18% organic growth over the next 12 months at least. I am a shareholder and in summary came away feeling that there is a decent market opportunity in a very fragmented, imperfect market for ULS to use their technology edge to grow oganically at circa 20% per annum with acquisitions on top. If they get it right they can probably become the clear market leader. The challenges/risks are housing market volumes/economic downturn, monetising the new opportunities and ensuring they don't overpay for acquisitions. | cgequityinvest
03/12/2017 18:29 | There is a blog post on ULS technology available here: | sharesoc
30/11/2017 11:21 | I went to the investor presentation on ULS the afternoon of the interim results (tuesday)which was presented by CEO and FD. I am awaiting a copy of the presentation from the company and will then post a few notes. I have a shareholding and came away feeling encouraged about the long term prospects. ULS only have a 2.5% share of what is a highly fragmented inefficient market. Will post more in due course once i have the presentation. They are doing a number of presentations this week to existing shareholders and private client brokers. | cgequityinvest
