On Fb says now is stocked in over 2000 Walmart stores. I too thought it wouldn't be until the end of March, but obviously not!

Did you speak to Alan Reade just over a week ago by any chance. When I spoke to him he had just had a conversation with someone who had been converting from TYRU to TYR on a big scale. Of course I took the opportunity to do the same thing!

So on 21 February,they said late March then on 7 March it is already in hundreds of Walmart stores and then by 11 March Vamousse is flying off the shelves. Either the person updating is overstepping their remit, getting carried away or we genuinely have some momentum. Interesting times for holders.

Guess there might be a problem if it is too effective. Need to keep a few people infected so they spread it around! Half the reason it's a constant issue is the fact current methods of treatment are time intensive and ineffective.

That's not the way to look at the Walmart deal.

The head lice season isn't 12 months per year, it's a seasonal thing where if a few kids in school go home with head lice it's pretty much guaranteed there will be many more so the local Walmart may rapidly run out of stock!!

Then they will have to go to their local Walgreens to see if they still have stock.

There are over 4,000 Walmart stores in the U.S. Even if they each just sell 1 bottle of Vamousse a day that's 1.5m bottles p.a. - This is a very interesting deal.

Walmart to sell head lice product made by Morrisville company

The U.S. sales team for pesticide maker TyraTech Inc. has landed a big win for its head lice treatment product Vamousse.

The company announced Tuesday morning that Walmart (NYSE: WMT) stores will begin selling Vamousse in its stores across the U.S. starting in late March.

TyraTech CEO Bruno Jactel, who is based at the company's U.S. headquarters in Morrisville, stated that the U.S. market for head lice control products is estimated at about $150 million per year.

Vamousse has been described as a more effective, non-toxic alternative to killing lice and lice eggs, especially among the some 12 million school-aged children in the U.S. who report having lice each year.

"This is our most important milestone to date as it will significantly raise the profile of TyraTech's brands in the U.S., helping us further expand our market penetration and market share," Jactel stated.

Terms of the deal between TyraTech and Walmart were not disclosed.
