Archery World Cup Final draws worldwide interest
2010-06-29 17:55:00 FITA

29 June 2010 - The bidding process for the International Archery Federation's World Cup Final in 2012 and 2013, has so far attracted interest from 20 cities and regions across the five continents.

With more than two months to go before the 1 September bid submission deadline, the number and geographical diversity of potential hosts that have expressed an interest in organising the event through the request of bid packages has been impressive.

With simplified venue requirements and minimal technical regulations, the Archery World Cup Final provides its hosts with the freedom and flexibility to set up the most dramatic and extravagant backdrop to showcase their city through sport. The bid process has been structured such that all cities, regions, member associations, private event organisers and corporate partners are eligible to bid for the event.

Prof Dr Ugur ERDENER, President of International Archery Federation, said:

"We are thrilled to see that this event's concept, aimed at creating optimal promotional impact for both our hosts and our sport, have generated such positive worldwide interest. As we start to receive bids over the next two months, it will be interesting to see what creative concepts and exciting locations bidders have dreamt up for 2012 and 2013."

This is the second time the International Archery Federation has partnered with TSE Consulting to conceptualise and implement the bidding process for its Archery World Cup Final. The first bidding process concluded in 2008, with the hosting rights for the event awarded to Copenhagen, Edinburgh and Istanbul, respectively from 2009 to 2011.

The election of hosts for the 2012 and 2013 editions of the Archery World Cup Final will take place this November in Istanbul, Turkey.

We will certainly see some good upside, market cap very cheap atm... btw you may want to have a look at IDG, no debt, cash in bank, global leader in their technology. GLA

Yes very quiet, if the acquiring or merging with TSE Consulting comes to fruition then in my opinion the price will be close to .50 in my opinion.

Either way should hear something within a month... very surprised at the lack of volume today, thought the results and info would have attracted a few more in! GLA

TSE Group (TSEG, 0.17p, £1.38m) Revenues in the year to December 2009 increased 43% to £1.58m (£1.10m) though higher admin costs, including £0.08m of development costs written off, led to an operating loss of £0.16m (profit £0.03m) and lower finance income led to a loss before tax of £0.17m (profit £0.03m). The losses mask a significant period of activity expansion including new offices in Istanbul, and further associate offices in Cairo, Warsaw & Dubai. 2010 is reported as having started well. More intriguingly the group states it would be better as part of a larger group and that it has been approached by a number of sports related companies. SPECULATIVE BUY

My take on results:

Revenues are up 43% on last year which shows the expansion is going very well... the margins were down slightly unfortunately but the company has stated further down the RNS that '2010 has started very positively; importantly, we are also seeing an improvement in the margins associated with these revenues' so i don't see that as much of an issue.

During the course of the year the company has set up 4 new business lines and also over the past few months they have been approached by a number of sports related companies with a view to acquiring or merging with TSE Consulting SA...

Last year a trading update was released in July and i would expect another around the same time. I would expect the company to expand on any developments with TSE Consulting and expand on how they have done during H1 2010.

I may look to add here over the coming weeks as i believe the downside is very minimal and the upside is potentially very good! Another safety buffer is that the NAV is around £2.5M and market cap is only just over £1M! Undervalued at present IMO and any positive news should see the share price appreciate.

All IMHO & DYOR.

Yes very encouraging... with a further TU in July we could start to see this share price climb... might buy a few more when funds permit as this looks to have some very good upside over H2. GLA

The most significant part for me is the last paragraph! With more than 1 company interested in TSE Consulting there could be a bit of a bidding war! Could be very interesting... good to see revenues up well, margins down slightly but still a pretty solid performmance in this climate, they have written off R&D costs of 77k as well so the loss isn't really that much... looking forward to hearing further developments about the merge or aquisition of TSE Consulting. TSE GROUP PLC (the 'Company' or 'TSE')

AUDITED RESULTS

FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 DECEMBER 2009

The Board of TSE is pleased to announce its audited results for the year ended 31 December 2009. The Report and Accounts are being posted to shareholders today and a copy is available from the Company's website, www.tsegroupplc.com.

Chairman's Statement

Group revenues increased by 43% in the year to £1,577,617 (2008: £1,103,053); in this difficult economic climate your Board considers this a very strong performance. Unfortunately, the margins associated with this revenue stream were not as high as expected and hence a loss before taxation of £165,885 (2008: profit £31,904) was generated. It is worth noting that during 2009 the Group decided to write off almost all of its development and start up costs relating to its international offices; this amounted to £77,000 (2008: nil).

During the year we set up and opened a new wholly owned office in Istanbul in Turkey and further associate offices in Cairo, Warsaw, and Dubai. Also during the year we set up four new business lines; 'Sports Performance', run out of TSE's new office in Colorado Springs, USA; 'Event Appraisal', which is being run out of our TSE Scandinavia office; 'Digital PR and Marketing', a joint venture with Washington DC based Chong + Koster; and 'Environmental Services', a joint venture with Indianapolis-based August Mack.

Revenues within all the international offices have grown during the period, despite the poor global economy, and 2010 has started very positively; importantly, we are also seeing an improvement in the margins associated with these revenues. We have won a number of high profile new clients this year, particularly in the area of Sports Performance and in April we announced that TSE Consulting SA had been appointed by the Russian Olympic Committee to conduct an in-depth internal review of Russia's winter Olympic sports performance. This major contract follows previous assignments from Saudi Arabia, Brazil and Turkey.

Over the past few months we have been approached by a number of sports related companies with a view to acquiring or merging with TSE Consulting SA and it is our opinion that TSE Consulting would benefit substantially by being part of a larger sports focused group. All shareholders will be kept fully informed on developments.
