That is correct - Still supported by 22% shareholder Newmont -

These Guys are from Normandy Mining - Then went to Newmont

Normandy is Australia¿s biggest gold miner

US-based Newmont Mining is poised to become the world's largest gold miner after winning the takeover battle for Australia's Normandy Mining against South Africa's AngloGold.
The two companies' fierce four-month-long takeover battle was brought to an end when AngloGold threw in the towel.

AngloGold's final bid valued Normandy at A$4.44bn ($2.26bn), compared with Newmont's A$4.56bn.

After Newmont bought Normandy - these guys went to Newmont and now are going to AUM or TPJ - That is interesting because I did not expect that calibre talent to go to a tiddler - speculative but potentially a lot of upside

Broker has just given a stocky forcast, it states that the deramper stocky has appeared, when this happens the sentiment will change in any stock where he appears....we give TPJ a strong buy, so to benefit from stocky's appearance we say BUY,BUY,BUY.

What gets me and will always amaze me about the AIM is you get some shares going up 35% that are shells with assets of 300k and a MC the same as TPJ 1.3m.....look at RLH,yes up 35% with 300k in bank and no assets and the same MC, TPJ has 2m cash and assets worth more than MC and here we are with the same MC as a shell company with 300k in the bank and no assets......one day some astute investors will jump on this and the ride will begin....don't get me wrong good luck to all the RLH holders but sometimes logic does prevail!!!

Every dog has it's day, and with the assets they have and the cash (2m) it's got to be worth more than 1.2m MC....there are worse companies out there with bigger MC's....if newcrest find what they are looking for say 3 to 5m gold resource then 10% belongs to TPJ, that's just for starters!!!

Rumours of TPJ takeover by newcrest.

What i like about this share is the fact that people are buying these shares, we had the Fox family buying upto 4% of the company from July 13 to September 13, then Alan John Fairless has been buying up to 15m shares also 4%, then you have Patrick Gorman stepping up from advisory and holding 600k shares....then you look at the cash they have with the 750k and the 200k in escrow and the cash at the end of September 1.154m that's 2.1m....their main asset seems to be the Newcrest assets where they hope to find a large gold deposit of 3 to 5m ounce of gold TPJ would own 10.3% of this...with a MC of 1.2m and whats been going on over the last 6 months i have a gut feeling this will turn soon....when you get investors buying in any company it's always a good sign...here's to over 1p soon, GLA!!

Looks like TPJ springing back to life. Having seen the nova move last couple of days from 0.5p to 3.5p intraday, seems anything is possible.

Just been comparing MEN & TPJ

MEN cap £3.5m with £200k in cash

TPJ cap £1.1m with £1.8m in cash

MEN have no other assets other than their cash

TPJ has a JV with Newcrest, a free carry in Vietnam and £23m in tax credits.

Shows you what will happen once the market wakes up to TPJ IMO.

Here is the RNS covering the extra work they are doing at Morobe:

RNS Number : 3476W
Triple Plate Junction Plc
25 January 2013
Triple Plate Junction Plc
("TPJ" or the "Company")
Project Updates - Papua New Guinea ("PNG")

On 3(rd) December 2012 TPJ, the AIM-listed gold exploration company focused on South East Asia, announced that it had been notified by its project partner, Newmont Ventures Limited, a subsidiary of Newmont Mining Corporation (NYSE:NEM) ("Newmont"), that it will not be allocating a development budget to the joint venture's Morobe project for 2013. TPJ now announces that Newmont has decided to terminate its search for large bulk tonnage gold/copper porphyry systems (target minimum 5 million ounces) at the JV property, and that Newmont is in the process of exploring their options in consultation with TPJ.
Following the Company's own exploration and that conducted by Newmont on behalf of our JV there is a very significant amount of related data which TPJ is evaluating in order to determine whether there are areas within the JV territory which may be appropriate and suitable for TPJ. Of particular interest are areas containing high grade targets that Newmont have discounted as too small for their requirements but which could be of great interest to the Company to develop. Whilst recognising that the costs of exploring in PNG are very high, TPJ has engaged the services of an experienced team of geologists to commence the process of reviewing the project data. The anticipated report is expected to be delivered by the end of February 2013, and a further announcement will then follow.
