I agree I have seen a transcript of this case The Judge at tribunal was a Mr Tildesley, talk about Bias, any time HMRC are mentioned this bigot comes in the favour of HMRC. This Tildesly, and his judgement simply stinks to the core! To suggest that a public company quoted on the London stock market was knowingly doing business with missing traders FRAUD, beggers belief! the guys at Tricor were going to risk their careers and face charges of fraud is frankly just no an option this government and its bent MP's were not going to allow Tricor to have the vat returned, Tildesly was told to make sure as sure as he could to support that notion. This decision is corrupt Tricor shareholders are not shown any care at all by this outcome. When will the truth come out! No one is going to be in the public eye as Tricor and its Directors were and be party to fraud, this case is all about the government keeping £1.8 million pounds and the HMRC and judge making sure that happened. Tricor should appeal this to any impartial court they can and get justice for the shareholders and Tricor and its directors. Bad stinks corrupt disgusting.

Yes Jacknife and gues who allowed that state of affairs, got it HMRC who allowed all that stock to get into the market to trap the honest dealers, while allowing the real fraudsters to get away with it, have you never noticed that the so called Missing Traders were never taken to court. But there you go corrupt government does as corrupt government is. One day you will you will wake up and taste the coffee, Doubt it though.

From GF of course -

The radical new Balls policy: increase taxes. Don't say the bosses of some of the largest employers in Britain didn't warn you:

•Rob Templeman, chairman of the British Retail Consortium, Gala Coral and the RAC: "this tax increase would be bad for business in Britain. It would put the recovery at risk, deter investment and ultimately cost jobs"

•Sir Stuart Rose, former executive chairman of Marks and Spencer: "This will put at risk all the good work that has been done to put the economy back on track."

•Mike Lynch, co-founder of Autonomy Corporation and former Labour donor: "The proposed tax increase would put jobs and the economic recovery at risk and discourage investment into the UK."

•Ian Cheshire, chief executive of Kingfisher: "Putting up the percentage rate is the wrong answer. When the rate was cut the total tax paid went up and the top 0.1% now pay over 30% of all income tax. Raising the rate is bad economics and sends an anti business message that may undermine investment plans and the recovery" .
