27/2/2008 05:02 | duvz, provided all is approved at the court hearings on 4 and 6 March, it is expected that the Scheme will become effective on 7 March 2008, that the cancellation of the listing of Tradus shares will take place on the 7th and that settlement of the cash consideration due under the Scheme will be made on or before 21 March 2008. | smalltimer

21/2/2008 11:17 | sikh. winston. OXB and EPY I'm still building a stake in. | freddie ferret
21/2/2008 00:04 | Sikh, There's still time yet, but I would have thought if anyone else was out there they may have shown their hand by now.... but hey! what do I know, I had a massive last time round! I've bought the following: Ascent Resources (AST) - Bought an initial holding back in here, the share price has now dropped back to mid 2005 levels, I believe they still plenty of potentil but have lost favour. Garner (GAR) - managed to get all mine @ 4.75 - 5p, now 6.625p up 40% already, bought in mainly for the run up to results again! The slightest bit of demand for the shares & these move north quite swiftly due to few shares in free float. Geong International (GNG) - Bought an initial holding in these, may add once the Tradus deals go's through. Reneuron (RENE) - Topped up on these. GNG & RENE have both been tipped on these BB's, AST & GAR I have been in previously and done pretty well. All IMO & DYOR! Still looking for the next QXL!!! Anyone? Freddie F are you going to share your latest purchases? | winston270
20/2/2008 18:25 | winston, yep as you have sold, the price will now double....what did you buy??? lol | sikhthetech
20/2/2008 04:44 | Surely this is Naspers picking up some more shares on the cheap.....even if it is only a few pence cheaper. We do know how tight they are with their money anyway; every penny counts! | smalltimer
20/2/2008 00:06 | Hi all, I decided to sell some of my holding aswell, last Thursday to be precise... I was starting to get a bit impatient, the lack of any other bid and there were a couple of shares that had fallen back that I thought could be promising. However, this time round I've only sold 25% of my holding and still own 1150 shares just incase another bid should be appear..... Sikh, now I've sold, if last time was anything to go by, it shouldn't be long before something happens.... fingers crossed!!! Good luck to all! | winston270
19/2/2008 21:41 | Albo: The CEO of Alibaba was asked three weeks ago - but no reply was the loud answer. Casandra | casandra
19/2/2008 18:14 | does seem like somethings going on.... ff, what did you buy? Good Luck | sikhthetech
19/2/2008 15:45 | I doubt if another bid will materialise and so have sold some and invested elsewhere, at the moment things are looking OK. It's the first time in years I have taken some really big exciting decisions, the stress levels are quite high but I am in a hurry now. QXL was a wait and see now I am becomming active again. Still it's nearly spring, after the EGM and meal I caught the coach back to the city near home and realised that I had missed the last train, so into a cheap hotel and then that night into a night/dance club. Had a wail of a time, got out at 6am. | freddie ferret
19/2/2008 12:28 | Lots of activity in first 45 minutes today...then back to the usual 1p spread. Can't see why anyone would invest thousands to get back hundreads in profit. Somebody has just bought 10,000 for an investment of £177,800 to make a profit of £2,200. If I had that kind of cash I would be expecting a better return than that for 31 days investment. Still hope!!!! Someone should call the Business Development director at Alibaba........ in fact, our bloody chairman should make the call. | albo
19/2/2008 08:29 | Somebody knows something...why would someone buy 6000 @ 17.90... | jwoolley |
