The consolidation isn't a driver in itself - it is an action of a poorly performing company...simplistically:success = splitfailure = consolidation

Every time a consolidation takes place the share price always drops, why do they do it?

Rayrac I am sure you are missing a point somewhere, but as I don't hold I am not bothered. I am well aware of the ups and mostly down of small oilers and that is exactly why I am not here.

You have the sour disposition of someone who has lost far too much in such situations.

If I do invest here it will be same as I did last time and profit on the hype ahead of the next drill and leave a token holding just in case they do manage to hit something.

Bloody Hell!

+22,000% but then reality set in. Looked good for a few minutes. Almost glowed in the dark!

Yes, drilling a hole is nearly everything....but it ain't a sure thing. So do yourselves a favour and get out of your situation, ffs and stop moaning. If you don't know how risky these small oilers were/are, then what the heck are you doing here? Because you obviously ARE here, feeling you have been wronged. While the fact is, you took the gamble and blame them!

Grow up boys!

Rayrac, this is a oil exploration company, not a fast food chain, or internet
site, so yes, "drilling a hole" is everything..

Rayrac - errrm yes!! The alternative is failure and eventually bust. If it is not about success then what?

Well I'm still an optimist here. As for poor management? Do you guys really think drilling a hole in the ground somewhere, is all about success?!

They'll make it one day....or Asher is bust...?

Yup always the case. Have the set a date for consolidation?

I'm asking on the board to save myself having to trawl through reports and presentations, tThe info is much appreciated.

From the results:-

Our capital needs going forward will largely be a function of the terms and timing of further seismic work on Thali, together with any farm-out we may agree, and the number of additional compelling investment opportunities we find in the coming year. It is possible that we may need no more cash from the market this year, and if we do it will be for specific, value-creating purposes, for which we will seek shareholder support at the time.

Possible that we may need more cash - hmmm Mgt speak for we will definitely be raising more - caveat emptor!!

Did they not just raise £5M back in July ?
I've just had a quick skim over the last presentation.

Against:
Poor management,
Couldn't hit a barn door with a banjo,
Full of B.S.

For:
Still a going concern given all the failures,
No doubt there will be the same investor frenzy for the next well fuelled by reports from the company,
They have to hit something sometime just on law of averages.

Would I invest, well not until after the consolidation and further raising as mentioned.
