I think part of the reason for view count could be that it might have ben mistaken for a general oil and gas discussion.
Though that would have been good in itself .
The fact that TRP comes up makes it's focus more compelling for us.

Independent Anglo-French hydrocarbon producer Perenco has started production at the South Kole Marine oil project located 50km off the coast of Cameroon. The project is now producing approximately 3,800 barrels of oil per day. The milestone follows an eight-month work program which required well architecture, pipelay and platforms to be installed.The program effectively proved the commercial viability of the marginal field. A different basin but interesting news, hot off the newswires this evening;--------------------------------->>Galp (80%, operator), together with its partners NAMCOR (10%) and Custos/Sintana Energy (10%), has successfully drilled, cored and logged the Mopane-1A appraisal well (Well #3) in block PEL83, which was spud on October 23. The Mopane-1A well encountered light oil and gas-condensate in high quality reservoir-bearing sands, once again indicating good porosities, high permeabilities, and high pressures, as well as low oil viscosity characteristics with minimum CO2 and no H2S concentrations. Together with the Mopane-1X (Well #1) and Mopane-2X (Well #2) findings, this appraisal well confirms the extension and quality of AVO-1. Galp and its partners will continue to analyse and integrate all new acquired data, whilst progressing with the upcoming activities, which include E&A wells, and a high-resolution proprietary 3D seismic campaign set to start in December 2024.------------------------------------>>For those who may not be familiar;In October 2023, GALP Energia of Portugal led a consortium that drilled 2 wells on the Mopane prospect in PEL83. In January 2024 Mopane was declared a very sizeable light oil discovery in two large reserviors. In April it was confirmed after a second/step out well was drilled (confirming the main reservior at Mopane 1 and two other reserviors) that Mopane was a much bigger discovery and a flowtest carried out - it yielded 14,000bopd limited by equipment limitations.Today's news confirms the 3rd Mopane well is a success and the hard-to-believe numbers associated with the Mopane structure are beginning to seem real....The minimum associated Oil in Place is 10billion barrels last April/May.I would suggest the upper limits to this monster are heading towards 12-13billion barrels.Absolutely stunning that this monster discovery can be invested in via Sintana Energy (TSX:SEI)Cash
