Cheers Felix, this was Exxon's take back in April 2022, and were trying to analise whether there were viable prospects in their Namibian offshore acerage, we know Tower's acerage is awash with similar source rocks and potential multi-billion barrel structures, features and traps that correlate with Totalenergies and Shell's giant discoveries in the Orange Basin, and so maybe highly significant that Exxon are presenting in this weeks conference. Gl ;-)

AEC: ExxonMobil is planning to expand its operations in Namibia. Can you tell us more about what you are doing and what we can expect?

TI: ExxonMobil is kind of behind. It is still early in the game in terms of exploration and it is not clear where ExxonMobil is moving towards in terms of drilling. We are still in the very early stages of analysis in trying to figure out whether there are viable prospects or not. The discoveries made by Shell and TotalEnergies make it more exciting, and make Namibia a more viable space to explore. We hope the government will be more understanding in terms of the time we need to keep on analysing. We hope by the time we might need to ask the government for more time to continue with our analysis, they will work with us. We do want to continue exploring but we just need more time.

NAMCOR, Qatar Energy Sign Cooperation Agreement

Posted March 7, 2022

Qatar Energy and NAMCOR will co-develop a sustainable upstream oil and gas sector, increase exploration activities, improve production infrastructure development and up-skill the workforce in line with changing business models within the oil and gas sector across Namibia.

The two firms will also collaborate to create new investment opportunities across the oil and gas value chain.

Qatar Energy could be a very likely JV for Tower's offshore Namibian acerage ( the third largest ) and one of the few still in the hands of a small cap independent. Qatar are now in partnership with Namcor and are very keen to expedite the appraisal and production of the two huge discoveries by TotalEnergies and Shell in the Orange Basin, which makes Qatar the largest international shareholder as they have interests in both discoveries. Qatar are investing heavily in all things offshore Namibia and so no surprise they would be looking at other opportunities that offer similar geology and mult-billion barrel potential...Watch this Space. Gla Holders...:-)

Let's hope Exxon starts drilling the Walvis Basin soon, and even better, let's hope Exxon or another Major views Tower's acerage more attractive given it has so many similar geographical features to Totalenergies and Shell's giant discoveries in the Orange Basin....Tower's acerage has the same source rocks and is awash with multiple potential multi-billion barrel features, Structures and traps. Gl :-)

Interesting that Exxon are presenting, much of their offshore Namibian acerage lies adjacent to Tower's, and so any immediate plans to start drilling will be highly significant for Tower. Gla ;-)

JA has a presentation in Cape Town next week and had a presentation last week in Cape Town, and so plenty of time in between to get loan/ finance and funding sorted for Cameroon, and every chance of a JV for Namibia as well as their SA acerage....Qatar Energy and Namcor for Namibia could be highly likely, and TotalEnergies for their SA acerage which straddles TotalEnergies two huge gas discoveries which are in the process of being granted a production licence by the SA Government....Gla holders...plenty of game changing news at anytime...a Multi-bag in a blink....Coming soon!!! ;-)
