04/4/2019 13:30 | wind-up PCs? shortage of candles? | mr.oz
04/4/2019 11:23 | Real value will come with sales of electricity, but they need to build further to get there. Meantime if licence area expands and gas reserves proven, that's all good. What surprises me is, if Botsw is as short of elec. as is mooted, how come their gov't agencies are so slow to give TLOU the right signatures to get on with it. | napoleon 14th
04/4/2019 08:20 | It has been about 6p since around June last year. Long time for no movement. But what have they done to add real value in that time. Not a lot it seems. Digging holes and resubmitted paperwork. Nothing tangible that materially adds value, just getting the base work done. A route for gas sales is essential. An increase in reserves might bump this to 8p but so what. | money4me
03/4/2019 19:04 | That made me smile donkey 😊 | mr.oz
03/4/2019 12:46 | .....talking to yourself again I see Donk? | adorling
02/4/2019 22:46 | Donkey says: key an eye on results from Kang Congress this Friday. If Masisi wins, load up the truck. If he loses or it is relatively close, I won’t be posting any more about Tlou. That would be game, set and match. Ie the eventual end of Botswana and hence time to go bore other muppets on some other board. | donkey40
01/4/2019 15:18 | So TG stop drilling. Get all the test results. Give them to the energy dept, it's been over 1 1/2 years we've been hanging on for. | liartidd
01/4/2019 14:26 | Reality LT is this lease is closer to the main thoroughfare than the remote Mamba leases. I would not be surprised if those leases start being relinquished, hence ahead of that why they announce acquiring this lease area. But just my read or guess. Disappointing though the LSE cheerleaders have nothing of intelligence to contribute. But given the nature of their famed Research methods, hardly surprising. Tidd - hope you are resolving those personal issues. Good to see Buzz still enjoying his work as librarian. And still Windy cannot post anything to add to the Tlou conversation. Their journey of discovery is hopefully a salutary lesson. | donkey40
01/4/2019 12:55 | I don't think tlou should touch any of the new Land until we get contracts. We have to show the government we are not thick. Doing ground work for somebody to walk in 3 years from now at no expense would be crazy. | liartidd
01/4/2019 11:50 | Couldn’t agree more Money4. Also, exploration leases are issued with the intention the holder spends time and $$$ exploring. What has been done on Mamba thus far? One well and some bolt on seismic from a much bigger prog on Lesedi. Money money money, ....... Then again, taking on an additional lease could be interpreted as a supreme act of confidence that a favourable award is coming (much more than was bid for), that with award raising capital will happen quickly, that more acreage is needed to secure gas feedstock, that management are signalling they are on the cusp of something really significant. Pays your money; takes your chance. | donkey40
01/4/2019 11:27 | There may have been several unintended assumptions. But I think they need to have a viable project which sells gas before spending money on drilling more holes across Botswana. What use is more land if they have no route or infrastructure to sell any gas | money4me
01/4/2019 10:25 | Are tlou scared to ask if we have a deal. The government wouldn't lead us down the garden path. So the deal has to be soon and more than 10 mw or we have been well and truly stitched up.Tg we have no income coming in. | liartidd
01/4/2019 10:12 | Feels a bit like stocking up on more fuel for a car you don’t own yet. But we’ll see | satsuma1
01/4/2019 10:02 | There is an underlying assumption to your last post Money4. | donkey40
01/4/2019 09:56 | I don't think they should be spending more money until they can sell gas. Increasing reserves is now secondary to gas sales. | money4me
01/4/2019 09:33 | The locals | liartidd
01/4/2019 08:57 | “They certainly seem to have Govt on side” - really? How is that then ? Great, now we have 9,300 square km of leases. Hmmm it costs $$$ to retain those leases by spending exploration $$$ on them. What have they done on Mamba? At least this lease is nearer to Lesedi and central operations bases. I wonder who had the leases before Tlou. | donkey40
01/4/2019 08:19 | Has to be a pointer, that the government has faith in tlou. Has to be. | liartidd
01/4/2019 07:45 | They certainly seem to have the government on side. Things starting to shift up a gear now... | the manini
01/4/2019 01:29 | Tlou Energy Limited, the ASX, AIM and BSE listed company focused on delivering power in Botswana and southern Africa through the development of coal bed methane (“CBM”) is pleased to confirm that a new prospecting licence has been issued to the Company by the Government of Botswana. Highlights The new licence, designated “BoomslangR independently certified gas reserves are already in place; The Boomslang area is considered highly prospective and provides significant potential development flexibility; The licence covers ~1,000 Km2, bringing the total licence area held by the Company to ~9,300 Km2. New CBM Prospecting Licence awarded The Company has been awarded a new coal bed methane prospecting licence by the Department of Mines at the Ministry of Mineral Resources, Green Technology and Energy Security in Botswana. The new licence, PL011/2019 designated “BoomslangR is approximately 1,000 Km2 and is situated adjacent to the Company’s existing licences. The Boomslang area is located on‐trend with the encouraging results observed to date at the Lesedi project and is considered to be highly prospective. With initial development operations ongoing at the Lesedi gas field, the award of the adjacent Boomslang area along with the Mamba area provides the Company with further flexibility and optionality. | ftangftang
29/3/2019 00:29 | Wide ranging comments Mr Oz. Why is it overly ambitious and mediocre quality? There is a Tlou one on their site as well - far more detail in the Sekaname one, and Tlou got theirs through. And why are Sekaname going for 100mw and Tlou going for 2mw ? I’m still waiting for someone to provide a sensible answer to this. Tony was the one who said flippantly when one London on conference call to shareholders (LSE loons) they would throw Sekaname a bone, maybe. Bloody big bone then imv | donkey40 |
