What were your key takeaways from the Budget then ? Mine were:

Budget deficit of 1.8% of GDP projected - not a big number (assuming revenues are recovered, given that expenses are largely more fixed or understood);

Diamond revenues forecast at 50.5% higher than last year - boom, if it doesn’t happen, absolutely everything else is under pressure or doesn’t happen or spending is delayed or slowed down;

Suggestions that they are looking to develop a Privatisation Programme to raise funding into SOEs who generally are still performing as loss making. Water Board and BPC continue loss making - not good for locals getting paid for their services rendered (this was a big problem internally towards end 2017 especially with BPC);

Sustainable fiscal approach - continues under great pressure as growth in Revenue Base is slow, whilst pressure on Govt expenditure re society spending and support ever-increasing;

Change in President ahead, and BDP has performed badly under Kharma so they have got to spend in next 18 months ahead of 2019 Elections. Can they earn it back is where the pressure comes.

Boom - Botswana, supportive Govt, fiscally austere and sound, global agencies maintained investment grade ratings, excellent infrastructure, and the usual other generalities hogg-wash peddled by the armchair and now self-declared Botswana ‘experts’;.

Quick test for a few of you - is Gaborone locates in the N S E W or centre of the country? Those that get it wrong ....

REDT are in Botswana too... Energy storage, take it as it's produced, store til needed on the GRID, etc.

This and the previous news about the Grid development work all bodes well for TLOU's plan to generate from Gas.

For those that don’t know, avoid Ftang Ftang posts. He bought at 4p over a year ago, boasted how happy that made him, and has been monstrously bullish about the prospects here ever since. Those with a cynical disposition &/or knowledge of how the real world works will see all his bullish commentary for what that is - BS.
He wants you to buy so that ....... (you finish the thought for yourself).

Yes yes,extremely well positioned. 3-5 years ahead of the opposition. First in everything. Amazing Board and management team who already did the same gig twice before.

Emmm - havent we heard all this same old tripe repeatedly through the last 9 months or longer.

If you read what Strata-X recently put out, they certainly don’t seem to think they will take 3 years to get going. But then they are copying Tlou, so probably they are going to also talk the most Sha-mazing ever (apart from Tlou).

Yes an extremely advanced position All the hard work is about to be rewarded And for the record most of my shares were bought nearer 5p Still can't work out why that means I can't talk about TLOU though ...?

And just to add to that point, Tlou are the only ones with a mining License (aka production license).

So again, the only ones who after exploring and appraising can produce and sell the product.

Another first and only situation. Looking good.

Yep Ftang the beauty of Tlou is, gone they are the only ones with an Environmental Impact Study approved they are the only ones who can actually core, appraise, drill and bring online further wells and exploration.

Nobody else can, not until they slog it out for 18-24months and get the approval in place.

The rest are effectively sitting ducks in that respect.

I agree with Donkey - Ftang can’t have an opinion or views because he bought at 4p. Anyone currently in profit shouldn’t have their views counted. We should all be here to break even or lose money. Anyone in profit please shut up.

I have been wondering when to deliver this one - ‘gassy coal’

Someone please tell me the interpretation and meaning of gassy coal from TG.

After 8 years of trying, and spending shareholders $$$ actually in a worthwhile effort, TG says to loyal shareholders The early indications of the data are good (great, it’s gonna be great) and we found ‘gassy coal’

Forgive me but 50, 75, 100+ wells by Tlou and Saber and before - and we found more instances of ‘gassy coal’

FFS - are any of you going to waken up anytime soon ....

Please, ignore that it is me posting this one - but go away and think and talk ‘gassy coal’ through somewhat deeper....

High Level

Following Mining licence award they were able to acquire seismic and additional core-holes
All with objective or Revaluation & Upgrade of Reserves and Contingent Resources.

Quality of seismic was excellent (1st class and intersected good quality gassy coal) and also for 1st time allow mapping of coal reservoir with core hole data worked in too.

Core holes located near to where of power processing and gas facilities are to be positioned. Great to confirm present of gassy coal there. As such their first development is to be the cheapest as it will be closest to the gas.

3rd core hole drilled was the 1st core-hole ever drilled at the Mamba permit (exciting). Results not too far off and hoping to know soon.

Independent reserves certifier received all their seismic data prior to Christmas so results should not be too far away now and waiting data from 3rd core hole.

Contingent resources (existing) on 2 areas only at Lesedi). 3.2TCF in contingent gas resources. Adding more into reserves (higher confidence category) would usually add more value and hopefully lift share price further. Not anticipating this to be too much longer.

Anticipating RPF result in coming weeks, 2-stage process first notification of conforming bid and then later stage to work through details after that

Power can reminder be sold externally to Botswana into southern African grid plus other parts of Botswana (maybe Orapa etc.). Primary objective to get into grid.

Local news some chatter with on 800MW Morepule expansion with Botswana government not providing financial guarantees for the investors in coal fired power station. TG said it is capital intensive - he is not sure what situation is but sure they will work it out but in long term need for power will always be there. Reiterated strategy that Tlou wants to become longer term net exporter of energy and that government is aligned with this.

Downstream going well and later on further upstream wells planned - increase reserves and resources and increase value of stock. Dual strategy add additional reserves and get into transmission grid and or externally as well.

Salary waive - likes to see as much as he can going into the ground and will take a full salary when company is much bigger and reminds that he is a substantial shareholder and will take one day but not yet.
