23/3/2012 07:25 | not sure smicker...was told it would be next week. Nice rns today...the expansion of facilities in Turkey is quite bullish as are the undertones in their statement | nurdin
22/3/2012 16:30 | nurdin, when are they releasing results? | smicker
22/3/2012 16:09 | nurdin ... thanks, that's reassuring. I didn't think there would be any problems so soon after the T/S. Currently trading at exactly half of its eight year average PER so just sit, wait and watch the experts hand their money over to the mm's as they try to dip in & out and in again :-) | henryatkin
22/3/2012 14:16 | added at 132p...talked to the company as well. They are not aware of any reason for the decline..thats good nuff for me. | nurdin
21/3/2012 16:10 | Crazy price action when they have already said they will be comfortably ahead of market expectations. Results due any day now too.... | nurdin
21/3/2012 14:40 | Its probably a few people who have seen the Chinese put up petrol prices and assume it must have some impact here. For what its worth continental have said it wont make any difference to their tyre sales. | smicker
21/3/2012 14:35 | Errr. Maybe not! | foxman14
20/3/2012 16:58 | High volume today which pushed the price back up from its intraday low. Looking better! | foxman14
16/3/2012 10:24 | half way....boooo... | kimball808
15/3/2012 15:05 | This is very frustrating, just when you think the share price is breaking out and 140 is a thing of the past, back come the sellers. Lets hope is not Killik dumping all their holding (RNS 23/2) 'cause by my reckoning we are only about half way through it! | foxman14
15/3/2012 08:55 | Some decent buying now at 142+. Looks good in the run up to results | smicker
14/3/2012 21:08 | Phew ... you had me worried for a moment there :-) | pedr01
14/3/2012 17:48 | Didn't the market wobble a couple of weeks ago. Perhaps it was me that was wobbling and the market just styed still. | kimboy2
14/3/2012 16:52 | recent upset ??? | pedr01
14/3/2012 15:49 | I am afraid that you are speaking in tongues as far as I am concerned. The results are coming within the next fortnight, allegedly, so I presume some are buying ahead of that. I got the impression when it didn't fall with the recent upset that there must be a few buyers about. Why buy Titan Int on a p/e of over 20 when you can get TSW on a p/e of 5 or 6. But I would say that. | kimboy2
14/3/2012 15:22 | Not a chart expert but it looks to me like a very large cup with a tiny handle forming whatever that may mean | darcon
14/3/2012 15:15 | some chunky buys today...fair volume... | kimball808
13/3/2012 08:53 | It is difficult to know what the intentions are with regard to the two major stakes. Titan Int has made a bid in the past and IIRC they chucked the towel in during Sep 08 when all hell was breaking loose. They seem to work closely together though. Mefro is a private company so it is more difficult to find out information but they appear to be about the same size as TSW; I think that they see it as an investment in something the knew about rather than a precursor to a bid. My fear was that the two would get together and split the company up between them taking the bits they wanted at a low price. That hasn't happened. It would be interesting to know how much competitive overlap there is. | kimboy2
13/3/2012 08:15 | Can we get over 140p please..... | kimball808
08/3/2012 14:32 | Kimboy2, What is your take on Titan Int holding such a high stake in TSW? I assume the Mefro holding is a strategic stake rather than a purely financial one. Is this to prevent a takeover ? | smicker
08/3/2012 13:49 | Well the TSW chairman is CEO of Titan International so I presume they are well abreast of the situation at TSW. | kimboy2
08/3/2012 12:32 | I think the trading update was too strong to allow the price to fall more than a token amount. Did Titan Int say anything re acquisitions? I thought they raised money not so long ago for this purpose? Edit decided to look for myself. This is a quote from the results "Titan's mining and construction business is expected to grow by triple digits. This growth will come from our current offering of products and newly designed tires and wheels. We will spend approximately $55 million in 2012 on new equipment, molds and dies at our current facilities to achieve these goals. I believe that each quarter will set records over prior quarters in 2011." "We are actively pursuing potential acquisitions and have a plan not only to grow our business but to improve our margins through greater manufacturing efficiencies as factories' utilizations grow. " | smicker
07/3/2012 22:06 | TSW has been surprisingly resilient during the recent market upset. It normally follows the rush being operationally heavily geared. Titan Int produced results the other day and I didn't see any mention of them. I make like for like sales increase of 36% after taking out their brazilian acqusition. I don't think quarterly analysis is particularly useful as they are predominately agricultural which is, I suspect, far more seasonal than mining or construction. They do however say; EARTHMOVING/CONSTRUC Earthmoving and mining sales continue to improve, aided by increases in metals, oil and gas prices. Although they may fluctuate in the short-term, in the long-term, these prices are expected to remain at levels that are attractive for continued investment, which should help support future earthmoving and mining sales. The decline in the United States housing market continues to cause a lower demand for equipment used for construction. The earthmoving/construc Results in 2-3 weeks with subsequent upgrades hopefully. | kimboy2 |
