Bozzy, not that I care much as to what you think but as a matter of interest how would you interpret the way the share price has moved to day other than up on news, bit of profit taking or a tree shake followed by further buying pushing share price up

Urrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh ;-)

"Just waiting for the inevitable 'tree shake' and 'MMs just playing games' comments when the price dips, but as it rises it's 'must be a big buy order' 'MMs short of stock' blah blah."

I take back my comment about standing corrected. The fact that battyman, ADVFN's resident pump and dumper is lurking, does not bode well for my buy decision.

and if NHS order has a favourable outcome, why not transfer the expertise to the much bigger US market?

they have global hopes I reckon, long term:

"MRSA Bacteraemia is a global issue and we are delighted to have started working with the NHS on a product line that we believe has worldwide relevance. Other products in the TimestripMedical range will be announced in due course."

I say the USA, because Timestrip have already approached the FDA about approval for other products

30 Mar 2009 ... Reuben Isbitsky, joint chief executive officer of Timestrip, ... According to Isbitsky, the sensors, which he said are US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) compliant...

Yep suppose so. Peeps can make up their own minds based on today's news. A foot in the door of the NHS, albeit just one hospital for now. Could be a huge step forward. Could be a non-starter. It's 500% up or 100% down, so I'm happy to take the chance!

Ok I may have to stand corrected. There's not been much rampety ramp actually, given the wild swings in price.

Bozzy, with NHS tie up and deals announced on a regular basis long term holders like myself won't bother short trading it's just to difficult in this market.

Believe me i've tried it.

Buy, sit tight and hold. This is a bloody good company with massive potential.

Pretty soon the shares will all be gobbled up.

Why is it a mistake Bozzy? There's plenty of people on here in this for the long haul, which is where we expect the real money to be. If you're in it only on the basis of news, then it's no different to any other share that makes a positive announcement. If you've timed it right, you'll make a few quid, if you haven't, you won't. Simple as that.

Surely all "penny shares" have a number of day-traders and short termists. While it may be that you recognise a number of the names the reality is that this is not a share in which there is any significant amount of day trading (apart from anything else the spread has generally been too large to enable you to do this) and you will actually find if you bothered to look more closely that most of the people that have been posting here over the years have held shares for years with very little trading (other than topping up).

We actually have very little of the "'tree shake' and 'MMs just playing games' comments when the price dips, but as it rises it's 'must be a big buy order' 'MMs short of stock' blah blah." comments here.

This is a speculative long term hold that may just turn out to be a great success. Welcome to the club

Bought this morning on the back of the news, THEN discovered via this BB that it seems to be held by a number of day-traders and short-termists. Gee what a mistake!

Just waiting for the inevitable 'tree shake' and 'MMs just playing games' comments when the price dips, but as it rises it's 'must be a big buy order' 'MMs short of stock' blah blah.

My guess is that if this trial is succesful we might see some real recovery in the share price in six months time even if none of the other products improve their take up and my view is that there is plenty to be achieved still from the existing products. Slight fall back in share price this morning doesn't concern me as increase was rather dramatic - think market makers were looking to protect themselves. Test will be over next few days to see what press coverage they get and whether we have continued buying of shares.

Good luck to all fellow holders - the tide appears to have turned

The first product in the range, TimestripIV, has been designed to help hospitals
comply with existing policy directives that stipulate the need to change
Peripheral Intravenous Cannulae (PVCs) every 72 hours. Up to 60% of cases of
blood infections known as MRSA Bacteraemia are caused by PVC's and the cost of
treating MRSA is estimated at GBP1 billion per annum, according to the National
Audit Office.

Timestrip is joining the big league.

Deborah Wheeler, Director of Nursing & Clinical Development Whittington Hospital
NHS Trust: "We are very impressed by the potential of TimestripIV to assist in
the monitoring of compliance with IV peripheral line replacement and see it as
an important innovation for the Whittington to be introducing for the first time
in the NHS. The Whittington places a high priority on patient protection and
satisfaction and we believe that TimestripIV represents a unique opportunity to
involve patients in their own care and increase confidence in the infection
control policies that we have in place."
