Just a quick look, hiring is expensive and mostly industrial welders, cannot find one suitable for home use....yet. Quick look at courses, there is indeed one suitable, a sort of introduction to welding , 30 hours.

Ahhhh, what a brilliant idea ig, I never thought of hiring for a few days. I shall look into the cost of Hiring one. Just had another thought, I maybe should get in touch with college in Arbroath and see if they run any short welding courses.

..is his channel and I have found some of his videos really fascinating.

Question for you FFP, is it worth my while buying a cheap flux mig welder or do you think it would just be a waste of money for practicing my welding skills. Just find it hard to spend 3 or 4 hundred on a gas welder just to be used very occasionally for the odd small job but would like to see if I can still weld. What are your views?

How about some Highland cows. Keep your grass short, use controlled grazing to maximise grass growth and they can stay out all year. Slow growing so longer until they go to the butcher but a great premium meat getting higher prices. Have some chicken tractors to move over the controlled grazing areas to break down the manure and soil fertilising as they go and result is great grass growth which you can harvest for the winter. Win win for all and you can sell chickens and eggs as well.

Evening squire ,I consider that, upon reflection , the reason you have that larger barbi , is , that in light of your previous experience of having had a carefully singed combine , you are in the process of suffering of delayed shock and have acquired it as a means of dealing with withdrawl symptons. Bit worried about how Jaffa Cakes and Rissoles will react
Mix in brown sauce and I feel a dose of indigestion is on the cards
