On Sunday a livery posted her money through the letter box. I walked through the hall and saw some paper on the floor picked it up as you would, thought nothing of it. In office sat down, did what I do, I looked down at her under my desk and this is what I saw...

There could be a good reason for heating the oil. A lot of these large engines use separate auxiliary oil pumps for feeding oil to all the bearings before the engine is started. If they fill with cold oil the pump has to work much harder to pump the new oil around the engine and bleed any air out of drained galleries. By heating the oil it will flow much quicker and get to places other beers cannot reach.
This is my theory anyway. hic!

You are making me feel guilty I do not heat my engine oil before putting it in the engine.

Sun is shining at least

Back to the oil ...as I have mentioned , I used to go Shuttleworth a lot.
It always fascinated me that when they were doing an oil change on a Spitfire or other exotic machinery , they always heated the new oil before refilling the engine.
Such attention to detail , brilliant

I suggest furniture polish so it leaves a light film of wax in light of what you have just said. Or if its metal to metal and not plastic then just use some oil.

That sounds a bit extreme to me
Tempted to wipe the axles clean and pop
some Vaseline on them
Admit there may be the odd bit of dirt around but as it used on grass cannot really see it being a problem.

Just been reading the advice re grease
on the trolley
Although , when new the axle had a light grease on it ....it is recommended it is not greased
Apparently dirt mixes with the grease to create an abrasive paste that can be damaging to the clutch in both wheel bearings.
It is an electric trolley hence the clutches in the hubs

I did have some Lithium Grease somewhere
I will have a search for that

Failing that , I will pop to local garage and pinch a bit
Failing that I may call upon your generosity
Or , of course , a trip to Phrinton and the tractor shed

Been searchimg around for a small container which seals I can send you some proper grease as vaseline will actually break down quite quickly. Got plenty small bottles and things but next to impossible to get the grease out again.

Could be an advantage
When I am being moaned at for making someone move to a place that is minus 12 in the winter, the press up man could be my security.
He needs to be very brave to take on my Dearly Beloved when she has "that look" in her eyes
Like being hit around the head with a baseball bat ....

Hang on a bit ig, you have to consider what neighbours you could end up with. I am aware of a family that lives at number 34, well not of good character, so I understand, allegedly as should be said. He does press ups, daily with a 20tn weight.
