what impact on the share price if the Risk division is sold ?
Posted at 25/8/2009 12:27 by jay1948
Ah. The circular says that all TR Corp common shares... will be held in uncertificated form..[using] .. Computershare Depositary Interest service.

Looking at the circular it says that for those who for those who submit to their Ord shares being cancelled and acquiring in their place TR Corp common shares, there is no disposal for CGT purposes.

So I suppose if I do sell and repurchase, I'd better steer clear of the 30 day identification rule. I guess it depends if I think the price is going to go up or down over the Autumn - my guess is down a bit - probably wrong.

I am hoping TRIL will touch 1950p on Monday, target £21.

Whilst the immediate movements may reflect the movement in the FTSE, the plan to swap your LSE listed TRIL share (which trades at a discount to the NYSE listed share) for a NYSE listed share obviously adds value to the UK listed shares and is likely to attract arbitrage investors into the UK shares.

TR also said it would also buy back $500m worth of shares on "one or more of its markets".

Hello all,

I closed out my short position on TRIL this morning. All the best to those who are continuing with their short positions.

MIATA,

I have analysed and watched TRIL for severals years and inspite of its general performance or indicators. It still tends to track the DOW.
So if the DOW takes a breather and falls to sub 8200 in the next 2-3 weeks I suspect TRIL will be sub £16.

Time and patience.

Decided to close out my short this morning for a nice profit. Morgan Stanley have today published a BUY note on TRIL with a £20 price target. Separately, I hear that their software sales are booming as the FSA demands that banks invest in new risk management software, which is an area in which TRIL is strong.

MIATA,

I feel the YANKS will continue to inflated this rally without due care with regards what is really going on, on a macro-economical level. Therefore TRI/TRIL will continue its relentless increase up to and including positive results on 7/5/09. I reiterate therefore that I will not be opening a postion until after such events. So tread carefully current shorters.

TRI/ TRIL will at that stage make an even better shorting candidate.

MIATA,NSCAP

Further to my last post I have decided to hold off until the next push with the US holding TRI as been concluded. The push (should it occur) in the Dow Jones will be following the so called "financial stress test" of US banks. Which will obviously show favourable results and push stocks such as TRI/TRIL higher. So I will wait until after May 7th and also after the next options expiry date that you pointed out.

The only caveat to that will be if TRIL breaches £18.75p which I will find hard to resist as a Sept short.

My shorting Level4 alarm just went off!...the urge is evident, the Prof is looking to short this down towards a more realistic share price of around £8.74.
I hope this helps
Thanks
