pieric,he bought them back in his SIPP whereas the IPO proceeds would have been from his personal holdings (most probably with entrepreneurs tax relief).

Prior to the results, they'll have been in a closed period where directors can't deal so this is the first chance he's had to move part of his holding into his SIPP.

Seems to make perfect sense to me.

I think SimplyBiz is going to prove to be a highly defensive business. In the last few years when things have been volatile in the investment world and we have seen continually evolving regulation, this has created new opportunities to develop and broaden the services and SimplyBiz has been able to sail on majestically. The company is currently the largest provider to directly authorized IFAs in the UK and this provides meaningful economies of scale versus rivals, which will allow it to introduce new services in areas like tax.
