16/1/2020 07:22 | Hasbro receives clearance for Entertainment One deal | capercaillie
06/1/2020 14:03 | I doubt that. What might be priced in is the impact multiplied by the chance of it happening. If it does, that chance become 100% and the price falls to reflect that. If it doesn't, then the chance becomes 0% (or a lesser number depending how long it's renewed for) and the price goes up. What nobody knows is what chance the market is attributing to loss and what the financial impact would be... | stemis
06/1/2020 11:57 | That's priced in SteMiS. See that recentish massive drop? | runthejoules
02/1/2020 11:27 | Surely risk here is that Peppa Pig license won't be extended beyond 30 June 2021? | stemis
26/12/2019 03:53 | Actually less than they got last year! Overall remuneration is very high for a small cap. Nice work if you can get it...... | gnome3
25/12/2019 06:46 | Are the Directors fleecing shareholders? Looks like it with the performance bonuses in the AR released on Christmas Eve! Directors were paid a total of £3.5m. How do the6 get these outrageous performance bonuses when the share price has done nothing for 5 years. The board need to be held accountable imo. Sheer corporate greed. | rock star
04/12/2019 15:12 | Great dividend of £0.26 giving a 6.5% yield "portfolio is performing well, with some 'exciting' new product to be unveiled over the coming months.... The challenging trading in prospect for Christmas 2019 will affect the first half of our current financial year. By contrast, the prospects for the second half look positive. Goo Jit Zu, Goo Jit Zu Marvel and the new Peppa Pig wooden range will feature increasingly in sales in the current year and sales will be further bolstered with the launch of the exciting new concepts and products that we are bringing to market in 2020. As well as positively impacting domestic sales, we anticipate that our international sales penetration for these lines in the second half of the current financial year and beyond will be significant and enable the Group to further increase its sales growth beyond its domestic markets. The strength of the portfolio of brands and products that Character is taking into 2020 greatly underpins our confidence that we will achieve market expectations for the current financial year." | turbocharge

04/12/2019 09:13 | Closed out at 400 today, I think we may tread water until the update in Jan which may present a buy back opportunity. No doubt IC will move to hold or sell this Thursday | hatfullofsky
04/12/2019 09:08 | Oh well. Looks like I bought in again a little early. Anyhow, on the upside my buy last week was at least small and happy to hang on, and see if it tests the October lows or not. All in all might be a chance to just get in at a better price for the long term | scooper72
04/12/2019 08:09 | What I found interesting is the 15% decline over two years in the UK toy market. Are devices now the gift of choice, even for small children? | capercaillie
26/11/2019 12:55 | It is recovering cos it is cheap.. As hatfullofsky says - Cash adjusted pe 5.5 + Yield of 6% and that yield twice covered. Management have always made it their business to return cash to shareholders via divis and buybacks. Hasbro/eOne deal or not; at this price it's an old fashioned bargain. | undervaluedassets

20/11/2019 07:45 | Trading on a PE 5.5 (cash adj) solid company . I'm looking to take a small position here before results | hatfullofsky
31/10/2019 20:21 | Recovering nicely. No idea why except that it's illiquid. Should have bought more! | runthejoules
08/10/2019 10:44 | Another small sharebutbavk. At this rate the company will be private by ooh... 2100. | runthejoules
01/10/2019 14:46 | Forager stake building again. | sspurt
13/9/2019 22:51 | Well done those that bought, Sorry I couldn’t bring myself to do it. | elmfield
13/9/2019 11:05 | Bought some more but not a large amount at 353p. Should bounce back & provide dividends over the years plus chance of a buyback as previously. Recovery may be slow however. | runthejoules
13/9/2019 10:38 | I averaged down on my initial v small buy with the recent drop. Not planning to do that again today. Decision to be sensible rather than adventurous. Originally heard about them earlier this year when I bought into RAI - both topped by people giving pitches at a stockslam event organised by Stockopedia in central London. RAI has certainly been the more interesting of the two. | scooper72
13/9/2019 10:33 | Meant to say warnings! | essential |
