As one who lost all hope in this stock, now probably happy they released it now. I really desperately need this company/investment to keep its pulse, and should have an okay weekend now without worrying as much about it. Best to all.

Hopefully all that talk on the BB about the lack of info, vested interest, and disregard for PI's will be toned down from now on.
It is better to be prudent on the release of real info instead of " hype " employed
by self-seeking ex management who were only interested in spending other peoples money.

Tethys Petroleum Press Release Friday, June 2, 2017 - Oil Production Update - Successful Installation of ESP

GRAND CAYMAN, CAYMAN ISLANDS--(Marketwired - June 2, 2017) - Tethys Petroleum Limited ("Tethys" or the "Company") (TSX:TPL) today announces that it has successfully completed the installation of an Electrical Submersible Pump ("ESP") in its main oil producing well, AKD-01.

AKD-01 has been producing under natural pressure since first oil in September 2010 and to date has produced approximately three million barrels of oil. Production from AKD-01 has experienced a natural decline and was producing an average of approximately 700 bopd until the well was shut-in for the ESP to be installed. The ESP is intended to significantly increase oil production for the remaining life of the well and it is anticipated that initial production rates could be up to 2,500 bopd.

The installation of the ESP is the first stage in the Company's 2017 plans to enhance oil and gas production from existing wells alongside the previously announced shallow gas well drilling programme.

I thought they would have to buy our shares with an offer acceptable to all in order to take it private... I got that from an article, but guess it pertained to a different sort of scenario.
I had to pay $30000 in taxes last year on capital gains, but since put almost all those profits from last year's winning stock into Tethys, it appears I figured out a way to (assuming the worst case scenario now) likely lose more than 100 percent of my profits from last year. An interesting accomplishment I did not think even possible.

Some investors here would also be able to make money here if they put out the news they have (such as their apparent inability to drill right now, despite the announcements made in prior press releases) and allow it to tank to sub-penny levels. There is no buyer interest anymore and stock is super illiquid. Believers in the stock should be given the chance to lower their averages, and stock should also allow itself to become attractive to daytraders who might see an easy double at certain levels.

Really wish they took company private. There are so few private investors here; any monies we receive could likely be more than offset by letting go the personnel involved with press relations and all the stock-related stuff.
Since they have not been keeping us up to date even before the lawsuits, going private might also help them ward off any potential lawsuits from us as well.

Had a reply, of sorts. To cut a long conversation short, essentially nothing really answered in full as the Q's I asked could all pretty much be classed as 'insider news' which he would not go into, so fair enough there.

Basically they are hoping to announce something more to shareholders in the next weeks or so but nothing guaranteed as, due to Olisol, the tactics they are using, the fact being that TPL are in a legal dispute if they say anything remotely that gives Olisol an insight into their future plans, it would scupper what they are trying to do.

They say they do appreciate we are being treated like mushrooms and that unfortunately, as has been for the past year or so, due to the disputes/court cases they simply cannot and will not release any news unless they are duty bound to do so.

Sorry cant give any more as that's about the jist of the conversation, and to be honest apart from TPL are still in the mire, not a lot more can be said apparently.

Appreciate the feedback.

I’m not overly concerned about selling them, whenever that may be. I’m hoping TD Direct will accept in cert form and if not there will be some broker out there, although the commission might be interesting.

I’d attempted to transfer the ISA holding to a TD Direct ISA but as some others have mentioned this never succeeded, it “was not accepted as the market was now defunct”. I’ve fully accepted that they are now out of ISA protection, hence the tax query.

I never thought of de-listing price, that probably sound the most plausible but as you said, best for HMRC to confirm.

Evening dcarn, I'm in the same boat regarding one of my holdings in an ISA which has been issued to me in certificate form. I've been in contact with the Tethys CFO, but as others have found we are awaiting information on how to handle certificate sales, perhaps finding a way to get them back to electronic form or transfer to a broker. News on that seems unlikely until the shares are on the Canadian register.With regard to the ISA question, I think they are now outside the ISA wrapper and from what I read there is no way to transfer shares into an ISA! We will see if there is a way round this but probably unlikely.Given that situation the question of future sale will be what price to use as the purchase price for any CGT calculation. This may be a question for HMRC directly when the time comes to sell. It may I suspect be the price at de-listing but that would need to be confirmed.

Evening Guys,

Does anyone know how the proceeds from a sale of Tethys shares purchased within an ISA but now held in certified form will be treated for tax purposes?

Say for example I purchased 50000 @ 50p costing £25k, they're delisted and removed from my ISA, and I’m then lucky enough to sell them for the equivalent of £2K. I've used up my CGT allowance and have been lucky enough to make profit elsewhere so will be paying CGT for the year.

How would the £2k from the Tethys sale be treated, is it gain, is it a loss?

Whilst currently not looking to sell, there must be others in a similar situation with this share.

What annoys me most is that these guys, who are supposedly professionals in the industry of oil and gas investment companies have stopped everything from us so far...... Exactly the same way that Robson and all the other would have done.

And the Board of geniuses stay quiet as they have done since they were voted in OVER TWO YEARS AGO unless it was to give us a negative RNS to help bring the share price down.

It's been a week since a further update to the requisition request RNS.

You'd have thought they would have reviewed it by now....

What it probably means is that if a requisition will go ahead that it can now no longer be included at AGM and that a new meeting will need to be scheduled. My understanding (perhaps wrong) is that in that case the requester (Olisol) will have to pay for the costs of arranging this. Olisol may not want to do that.....

TETHF is definitely a worthless ticker. It is not only illiquid, but any possible trade you do make seldom shows up on the ticker. So aside from all the junk from the company you have to endure, you also get the feeling that someone has a "fixed" short on the ticker -- where he has to encounter no risk on his trade, for anything counter to it can simply show up as a trade under the TSX ticker.
Plus, given the illiquidity, it forces buyers and sellers to eventually make a trade at a premium to fair value. That I feel some connection to POPE might be the entity behind this ticker is no surprise.
