28/1/2002 21:21 | Technical evaluation would be appreciated, has the downtrend been broken? | moggseye
05/10/2001 17:52 | I reckon that this one may recover in the short term to circa. 100p. However, the graph over the last 3 years would then indicate that it will then go down in a big way - a stonking short? | paulsweeney
26/9/2001 00:55 | Emerging markets are basically a geared play on Wall Street. When Wall Street motors, the emerging markets tend to gallop. If Mr and Mrs USA are buying foreign goods and all's right with the world, emerging markets are a good bet. No emerging trend upward on Wall Street normally means no general upside worldwide though there can be exceptions. On Mark Mobius; he is a value investor who expects to wait a long time for things to work out. If you can afford to do the same thing, follow him. Indieman | indieman
25/9/2001 11:31 | Mobius himself picked some up the other day. Discount currently at 22 odd percent - nothing spectacular for this trust. Have held in the past and tempted to follow the leader Mobius himself back in... | arichard
17/7/2001 20:06 | Robbie Burns (Skynews & C5 Text p442) has just bought these. He's hoping for a 120p target and talking about the discount to NAV. Not moonlighting, are you dondee? lda | lda
17/7/2001 06:40 | TEM is at the bottom of the range it has traded in for more than a year and bending the trendline at that. Although the top of the (slightly downward-sloping) channel is at 121.5p, I would want to see evidence of an upturn before investing. The last rise from the lower trendline did not reach the upper one, which is not encouraging. Indieman | indieman
16/7/2001 14:01 | Today the price is £1.05 NAV IS £1.36p!! A fair discount methinks. 165,000 buys and only 22,000 sells today.A lot of downward res. at this level (5/6 times tried to go below in last 2 years and failed). Seems to be looking to rise yet again. | dondee
08/2/2001 20:44 | lots of buys today, checkout NAV @ 152.20 2/2/2000. At 31/10/2000 it was 137.87 when nas was 3200 !!! Which index does it follow ? if any, ing | ingrid
30/1/2001 00:38 | Merril Lynch recommends TEM-see Citywire today. They are Corporate Brokers to TEM, amongst others they recommend. | indieman
20/1/2001 17:29 | I sold TEM warrants in 1993 at 185. They could be on the way back up there at last, though I would be pretty cautious about a further investment. | john j
18/1/2001 23:03 | Further to the last posting- Brian Marber comment was on Sharecast.com. | indieman
17/1/2001 18:00 | Humble Pie time..... The picture emerging from the chart today suggests the possibility that TEM is at a major turn. The MAs are flattening out and the share price is more scooting up than trending up. It looks as though TEM has hitched itself to an emerging uptrend on Wall Street. Emerging markets are effectively a geared bet on the USA economy. Brian Marber is claiming a possible Coppock buy signal at the end of this month if the Dow meets an entirely reasonable target. I visited about 12 new sites yesterday to look them over and can't remember where I saw this. | indieman
16/1/2001 17:51 | Sorry, it's called the Chart Analysis Thread. I have run some charts using the method suggested and it seems to give a good clue as to future direction in most of them. In the case of TEM, the fundamentals also seem out of kilter with an upturn. Emerging markets and value investment are not my ideal recipe at the moment, although I am a fan of the sharp-suited and very sharp Dr. Mobius. | indieman
16/1/2001 14:19 | Indieman, Where's Posting 155 on the TA thread? I'm new to this site. | redwine
15/1/2001 18:26 | Just looked at the chart with 200 day and weighted 252 day MAs. It doesn't look encouraging. Yes, it is close to breaking up through the MAs, but the MAs are trending down. This suggests the price trend, (which is not strong) will reverse shortly. See TA thread, Posting 155. Additionally, I seem to remember that TEM are buying in shares to try to reduce the discount to NAV. Latest results were not encouraging either. | indieman
15/1/2001 17:13 | What happened to my posting of last night - must be the problems ADVFN have been having today. The stock might be on the up in the short term, but the longer term downtrend hasn't been broken yet. | redwine
14/1/2001 21:45 | jimbo, this stock is trending. if all goes well, no bad news or profit warning etc, then expect the price to reach £1.30 within a month or so. good purchase | melfaraj
14/1/2001 21:37 | Sorry guys...I got impatient...this bloody TCP/IP stuff is still in its infancy | alchemy
14/1/2001 21:36 | And the Warrants look good. Categoric feel to that statemnt...perhaps a ? is justified...any views. Fed eases ..Emerging Markets...have a run.. Warrants ( TEMA ) expire in 2004 which is pretty close but strike price is 120. | alchemy

14/1/2001 21:21 | What makes you think it's uptrending? If it breaks to 120 I might agree with you. | redwine
12/11/2000 18:41 | I BOUGHT THIS ONE AT 109p SEVERAL DAYS AGO AND I FEEL IT IS STILL LOOKING GOOD *SHORT TERM*. TECHNICALLY THIS STOCK IS STILL UPTRENDING AND THE LAST TRADE ON FRIDAY OF 1MILLION SHARES GIVES ME EXTRA CONFIDENCE. | jimbo1 |
