The IEM platform enables users to harness market opportunities and respond quickly to changing market conditions. Following an extensive market evaluation against a number of competitors, Zurich awarded the contract to TiG based on a number of criteria including technical, commercial and delivery evaluations. TiG has also been contracted to provide resource and services to create a system to meet Zurich's requirements and the parties have worked closely together to develop a highly flexible and user friendly system based on Zurich's own business rules and processes. Zurich aims to deploy the system to 1600 users throughout the UK General insurance business as part of its review of its claims management systems. "As an innovative, high performer on claims customer service and technical standards, we are always seeking ways to improve and we see this technology as a big opportunity to do so", said Andy Harvey, Zurich's Director responsible for the claims system project. "Our priority is the delivery of great service to our customers and business partners while, at the same time, reducing claims outgoings and improving operational efficiency." Hassan Sadiq, CEO of The Innovation Group, commented "The contract with Zurich is a significant milestone in the deployment of our IEM platform. This shows once again that TiG delivers world class software solutions for the insurance market that are a number of years ahead of the nearest competitive offering." The contract includes a UK-wide licence for TiG's IBOS platform and the claims management element of the IEM solution, worth #1.8 million. This solution will be deployed throughout Zurich's entire claims operations within the UK General business. The system is being deployed incrementally, with motor claims as the first implementation. However, the base technology platform and claims functionality supports all lines of business. The remaining lines of business to be deployed include commercial property, motor and casualty and these will be progressed in partnership with TiG on an ongoing basis. - Ends - Enquiries: The Innovation Group plc 01489 898300 Paul Smolinski, Group Finance Director Zurich 01489 561562 / 07720 069259 Wendy May, Media Relations Manager wendy.may@uk.zurich.com Weber Shandwick Square Mile 0207 067 0700 Sara Musgrave/Katie Hunt This information is provided by RNS The company news service from the London Stock Exchange END CNTNKQKBOBKKBBD
